Northern Lights: My First Grow

I’ll be tight but doable I think. Your gonna need a lot of light in there too. What are you using.

  1. 1000 watt and 2) 1200 watt.full spectrum led’s, also have a grow bulb in there for my seedlings.

Should get you by

I’m really glad to hear that. I was going to try staggering the pots as much as I can to keep them close to center.

That’s a great little tip there, thank you, looking forward to trying it out on next round. YOu guys and the forum in general have really piqued my interest in this strain, have you grown it outdoors, supposed to be a good candidate for that?
Welcome to the forum @JimmyBeam, very exited for your grow, you’re in good hands with this lot.
All the best for a bountiful harvest

It grows well outside and is naturally resistant to mold.

Awesome, thanks Familyman, that should bode well for my neck of the woods, very humid here in summer.

It is resistant but not mold proof. Bud rot can attack any plant and ruin your crop. Just an FYI. You’ll love the strain.

Thanks for the heads up @Familyman I will keep it in mind. Long island (NY in general) gets really humid during the summer, very hesitant to try much outdoors beacause of it.
I’m definitely psyched about checking out this strain, sounds wonderful. I have some Aurora indica beans which are Afghani x Northern Lights, so I’m working my way to the main source albeit in a roundabout way.

Looking good, I’m going to try the peroxide trick next time also. I’m into my 3rd week.

@Familyman, @Countryboyjvd1971 => I am 4 weeks into the grow of my first Northern Lights Auto. I think she is looking very healthy. I have read that you shouldn’t trim Auto’s, but I am starting to wonder if she wouldn’t benefit from a trim of a couple of the top fan leaves. Also, does she look like she is just starting to flower?

Also, here are some of my other little ones:

There are 2 other northern lights same age as these that I did not photo.
My Last 2 are White Widow Auto’s. Too small to photograph just yet.

They look great. I don’t think they are flowering as of yet. I personally would not remove any healthy leaves until well into flower. More leaves means more photosynthesis and bigger plants.

Cool, thanks!

It’s best not to trim your autos
and I agree they aren’t in flower just yet but look like they will be soon

If you find the need to remove a few leaves for air flow take them low on the plant when I start pruning autos or photos I start low and underneath you definitely want to watch how much you pull off being to aggressive will do more harm then good

Plants are looking good @JimmyBeam
