How big is your space, length, width, and height?
Sorry for delay, problems with laptop. Tent is 3’ x 2’ x 53" have 2 northern lights growing. Also from what I can see that looks like the same tent I have.
Taht would b good for two plants?sorry gotta go again if your there. check back later
2’x3’ is a difficult space because it’s not common enough for the heavy hitters to design a light specifically for. I have built a couple of custom lights for that size space though. It’s not very difficult using proper components, and you could probably do it for $200 or so. But would knock your power consumption down to probably 150-200 watt range.
I don’t see what you’re using for exhaust? And I kind of feel like your intake vent laying on the floor may restrict flow a little bit.
It looks like it would fit in tent. Is it not enough coverage? Also Vent on bottom isn’t in use right now. Plants still small enough for led grow lamps. have two. One exhaust to outside and another draws from outside .pretty much to control heat. Exhaust fan on shelf is just a heating pipe aid, am in process of building a new more powerful one. can switch them around depending on season.
sorry, see it won’t fit
Wow they are beautiful.
I am growing Northern lights x big bud.
They are only 5 days old, this is my first DWC grow. Hope I have good luck with them.
Hey, I was looking at the viparspectra ds350 could fit two of them in tent. what are your thoughts on those. Also what would you use dimmable feature for?
I see how you fans. That should work, I would just try to cut down on as much ductwork as possible. The vipars are ok for what you’re paying for. It seems like a lot of people that are serious about growing end up upgrading from them after a coupon grows.
hey, l’m a little confused about why to cut down on ductwork? and the lights. ( with two of them ) do you think it would be enough light? What upgrade to what . And after the ( coupon? grows. ) I think i’m going to just stick with lighting I have installed and look and just look at what I what to, Make it bigger, etc. My blessing is no problems with smell, electricity, and all that stuff and I really appreciate all the excellent information
Just let me know about above, Feel i’ve used up enough of your time on this issue.
Want your thoughts on my growth. these are 28 days old now. You and familyman helped at seedling stage and droopy leaves was water problem. repotted to these pots and cleared up. Only things i’ve done since is repot. 12 days old. waited 5 days to settle in and fertilized with fox farm. have a kit with three bottles and chart by week. at two weeks gave them tiger bloom ( 2 - 8 - 4 ) and grow big ( 6 - 4 - 4 ) mixed about 2 thirds strength first pic is when i fertilized and second is 2 days later.
Read around and spots is probably i got some on leaves but why did they darken so much? Also I took both mixtures and watered with both at same time. Think I should give one at a time between waterings yet they grew an inch after 5 days.
Second question is current. 2nd pics taken today. Their at 28 days today and seem to look good to me. My question is growth. Their only 7 inches tall and on bottem you can see leaves are yellow. These are supposed to grow to harvest in 45 to 60 days or so. seen pics and don’t look like that at all. Seems to me at this growth rate this wont happen unless they will start growing much faster. I am going to repot them to 5 gal grow pots now and fertilize.
What am I doing wrong?
So she are supposed to be autoflower? If so she should start flowering any day. I’d ask some others too @blackthumbbetty @raustin I’ve also read of some people having autos that turned out to be photo. If it didn’t flower in the next week I’d go 12/12, but see what others have to say…what’s your light schedule.
Don’t get too hung up on that finishing time. If she is auto, she should start flowering no later than day 42 or so. As far as potting up, it’s definitely necessary, but since you’re already worried about your plant being stunted, just be warned that transplanting autos has the potential to cause stunting.
If you want to encourage them to flip asap, after you transplant, wait a week or so, then flip your lights. Make sure you switch to transition/bloom nutes.
As far as your nutes & such: what are your ppms & pH? Are you adding any micronutes, such as Calcium & Magnesium?
She will grow. I promise. Autos start small & diminutive, then one day they turn into monsters.
Exactly what Betty said.
hey u guys. pH is 7. don’t have meter to measure ppm and other. first grow 3 yrs ago or so , real learning curve. made every biginner mistake u can make. non auto. got OK yield but stunted. that’s when I found foxfarm, got a kit with by week chart , like 3rd week grow big 6 -4-4, light schedule etc. auto bit different. so right now I’ll transfer to grow pots. 5 gal. and fertilize, also trying to up grade to different lights. using cfl and hard to control heat and humidity. looking at led. just started. well guys another mistake, repotted and they were root bound, you guy’s are great. thanks. let you know
hey , was wondering what u thought about this. have those yellowing leaves only on bottom . reading up on possible causes. One was light. said in natural environment whole plant would get light , sunrise to sunset, make since to me. There are some big leaves over buds at bottom completely blocking the light. Would it be advisable to snip these off ? Only 2 or three.
You just transplanted. Leave her be for a little. You can spread or tuck the leaves to allow more light through, but keep the stress to a minimum for the next week.
thank u I will . first time I used grow pots. their nice. oh ya, wanted to ask, I’m going to germinate a blackberry kush. can’t u just plant in grow pot and not worry about transplant
You sure can just be very careful not to over water.
