Do these plants look healthy as I’ve never grown anything before? I’ve read somewhere that after plant has stretched(grown) the bottom leaves/stems should be removed which leads me to my question. The lower leaves have/are turn/turning yellow from green but what would cause this? I water plants every 3-4 days they get 17 hours of grow light and when sun is out they get sunlight for 5hrs. a day along with the grow lights. My last watering was on Oct.31. On Oct.23 I added 1 heaping teaspoon per plant bat guano 11-4-1 jus before watering and on Oct.27th another 1 1/2 teaspoon full before watering. Did I give to much bat guano and could that be the reason for the yellow leaves? I also have a gnat problem and mixed a 1-4 ratio of hydroperoxide/water and applied after soil had just about dried out x2. The first was on Oct.23rd(same day as first application of bat guano) and poured 6oz each plant. The 2nd on Oct.27 I poured 40oz on each plant(also 2nd application of bat guano). I also found what looked like either a caterpillar or leaf miner. I kicked myself as I did not think to save the little destroyer on a piece of clear tape. I jus squished the little plant destroyer. I have also dusted soil surface with Diatomaceous Earth. I’ve tried to find the answers here and in ILGM grow bible and plant care supplement but with no experience on my part which yellow does my plants fall under? Any input would be appreciated. Tejas!

Those first little round leaves will die off naturally, nothing to worry about, it just means it’s time to start feeding. Your plants look very healthy.

Oh that`s good news as I’ve been fritting ever since they started turning yellow. Thank You for your reply.

Great work so far. Looks like you are off to a good start. Gnats like damp soil, could be a sign of overwatering, but the plant looks good so far.

Just speaking from my own first time experiences, be careful not to over nute you plants. If you have a TDS (total dissolved solids) you can measure the ppms of the water going in and the water that runs off to make sure you have a healthy ph and nute level. The soil you are using may have nutes in it already too. Best of luck

Well its a start as I started with 10 seeds of which 6 cracked and 4 never did. Of the 6 these are the 3 that survived my attempt at my first growing. The 3 that didn't survive looked like the picture of "Damping Off" in ILGM Plant Care book. I don't know if that is what killed them other than that's the way they looked. Could have been over watering as that's about the time the gnats first appeared. Also I learned that after seed first cracks its best to let plant grow for 4 or so weeks before transplanting into their grow soil as I transplanted 8-10 days from safe plant mix to the grow plant mix. Those little buggers grew so fast(5-6") that they couldn't stay upright. I ended up removing plant digging deeper and replanting so that only 1 1/2" was now above the ground. Im not there yet but hopefully I will be. Its a learning process and Im having a blast learning! Thank You for your reply.

So here are photos taken today of the ladies which are in their 7th week 7th day. I have questions regarding watering and lighting Im currently using/applying on these ladies for future grows. According to the ILGM grow schedule(7th week) watering is 2.5 liters every other day and that seems like a lot of water after what look like damping off on three I described on my first entry. I just didn't want to drown these three so they were watered every third day 44 oz. each starting the sixth week of flowering. I feed every other watering and PH rainwater to 6.2. Before starting the six week cycle the ladies were watered through with 2.5 gal. rainwater and Cyco Kleanse PH 6.2. The last water through feeding(just b4 starting the 7th week flowering) Ms. Red 720 ppm, Ms. Blue 760 ppm, Ms. Violet 880 ppm. I water through today with 5gal. rainwater with Cyco Kleanse PH to 6.2. PPM MS. Red 740, Ms. Blue 680, Ms. Violet 760. So being this is my first grow I have nothing to compare the growth or potential yield I'm currently about to(hopefully) experience. As the photos show these ladies are not so bushy and the colas are small. Water right? So much more to learn. Would adding 10 more full spectrum 16 watt tube help? I really like the tubes Im currently using no heat and they seem to work. Ive done a little research on lighting and from hundreds to thousands of dollars, fans to no fans, sodium to mercury, Fluence Science, Advance LED Lights, the list goes on and on. Considering that I only used 96 watts to grow these three ladies Im wondering if adding 10 more 16 watt tubes would make any difference as Im thinking on 6 plants next. Cost would be less than $320 bucks. Suggestions? If I don't respond right away its cus Im old and tired and its past my bedtime. Thanks for looking, reading and any input/suggestions would be most helpful.
