For a tent (probably a 2x2 unless I can up sell my gf on the idea of a bigger footprint) will I need more than one AC Infinity? One for exhaust and one for intake, or will the suction from just exhaust pull in fresh air?
I know ideally I should intake and exhaust to the outside but not doable in an apartment, so I need bare minimum that I can get away with and not be too disappointed by but I also want to do it right-ish
Here’s the description of what I was looking at for exhaust
CLOUDLINE T4, QUIET INLINE DUCT FAN SYSTEM WITH TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY CONTROLLER, 4-INCH
You will only need one fan for that size space. I’m not a fan of the AC infinity 4” (the 6” and 8” are ridiculously powerful). My cheap growneer (I believe they are labeled vivosun now) 4” is twice as powerful as the ac 4”. The newer ones with the EC motor might have more power but the older DC motor could barely cause negative pressure in a 2x2.

Ooo good tip, I’ll look at the 6” one
That’s what she said
Dang, it’s 10 bucks cheaper anyway…nice
About 218 with hose and carbon filter from AC Infinity’s website

I would just like to add 6 inch fan running at a lower speed will be quieter also , one exhaust fan with pass through hole open at bottom of tent is all you need. Adjust fan speed to maintain navigate pressure inside tent.

Sounds right, I didn’t realize they wanted more money for a smaller fan. I saw prices and thought the one for 10 bucks more was bigger and better
It might have had an extra bell or whistle but I’m all about size

I would read up on when to use the carbon filter as using in veg has caused premature filter failure hue to the high humidity. Really don’t need until odor becomes a concern

Oh thanks for that tip. Was not aware of that but it makes sense.

The 4” probably came with the enhanced controller. The T4, T6, T8 all have the enhanced controller. The S4, S6, S8 come with a more basic controller. I have an enhanced controller but don’t even utilize it. I just run it on a specific level. Make sure to keep the 6” on a low setting. It could implode a 2x2. The difference in strength between the 4 and 6 is pretty dramatic.

The T4 is awesome haha I have one in my 4x2 and even with a carbon filter I still get negative pressure about the 4th or 5th setting Canucks15 on Amazon is like a believe is a 15% off discount code also brings it down to 100$ instead of the 125 i believe it normally is
The newer 4in units are prety powerful i get negative pressure in my 4x2 at around setting 4-5 with and without a filter
Yeah, I was wondering if the ones with the ec motors were stronger.

T4 works good in a 2x2 or 2x4 only 1 needed the controller is nice especially if is mounted out side the tent to check temp and humidity at a glance
I have a T6 and it will hold negative pressure in a 5x5 and 4x4.
