Yes @PremiumBudzBlondie , this is the first time trying out clonex gel on them. I was using Technaflora Rootech Gel before.

Just the Home Depot or Ace Hardware brand of perlite. It doesn’t have to be anything special, just make sure it isn’t the kind that has any nutrient charge to it. Most brands are pure perlite

I’ve never used a gel for clones. I’ve always used powder kinds because they can be bought on the cheap and I’ve always had success with it. I’ll try clonex when I run out next time and see if it’s any better or not :v::bear:

Thanks a bunch @MattyBear I have always used the gel and they usually root 90% of the time. I’m still learning to clone better though, I don’t do it often. This Blue Cheese has done great and thrived no matter what I’ve done to it so I’m trying to keep it alive. I’ll stop at my local home depot for the perlite, thanks again.

@Noctis420 I clone every single plant, because first of all it’s too easy not to, saves money, saves genetics, and we’ve all had that fire strain, and the regret of not having it again.
The turn around time for going to a sizeable plant to flip to flowering is much faster.

I wouldn’t mind trying a rooting powder anyone have a recommendation? I love my CloneX, but willing to try something else just because. @MattyBear

I picked up some rooting hormone powder from one of the box stores. Remind me in 4-1/2 hours once my lights come on and I’ll grab a pic of the stuff I use.

Yeah I wish I cloned my Blueberry OG. Now I can’t seem to get it without a hassle

The Blue Cheese is a great strain IMO. The ones I bred with my Cindy Haze are killing it right now. I cloned them both and after I smoke them, I’ll pick which one I like best and then keep that around as a mother until I’m ready to breed it again.:v::bear:

That blue cheese was some good fire. I was sad that strain was the lesson on clone f$&@ing everything. Lol. I guess I could always order some they sell’em.

I had some Blue Cheese vape from the dispensary so that’s why I decided to grow it. Plus its mold and pest resistant. Great body numbing effects. I’m going for a lot of amber on this one!

I’ve done many a clone with just aloe as well and been just as successful as clonex. Don’t get me wrong clonex is my go to but the last 2 times Ive done clones I did half clonex and half aloe just to see. I also use an aeroponic cloner which makes cloning pretty easy.

Very cool, I didn’t know you could use aloe to clone. Once this bottle runs out I’m going back to the other one I mentioned above. :point_up_2: This little bottle I have was like $25. I also was a fool and bought it at a local hydro store. :zipper_mouth_face:

I use aloe. I learned from @Mrcrabs thread “cloning with aloe”. I’ve had a 100% success rate so far too! Cloning with aloe Vera

Some people use it at 1/2 dose through entire cycle while others use it just when they see a deficiency, the medium your growing in will have alot to do with it
