No trichome development

Has anyone grown OG Kush auto from ILGM? This is my second run with it, and there is no trichomes what so ever. I’m in the middle of week 6, with no signs of any stress. My first run was exactly the same. Hardly any trichomes at all, and it wasn’t very pleasant to smoke. I’m growing another strain from a different breeder, and it is frosty. I guess ILGM genetics have gone way down hill. Anyone else have this issue with OG Kush, or any other strain?

Is this the OG Kush you are referring to?

Sorry. I just realized that this pic was from last March.

Pics would be helpful.

The first picture is from Fast Buds, the second is the OG Kush

No I don’t

That flower isn’t very mature. Is it a current pic? I would have patience if so. I’ve had plants that were late trich producers that ended up being pretty good at harvest. We see it occasionally.

I’m in the middle of week 6. I know it’s early, but the other plant is same age, and frosting up, and judging by the first run with OG Kush, this one is looking like it’s going to be the same.

Comparing plants side-by-side is a futile exercise. Individual plants are distant cousins at best. They are going to progress differently.

I understand that. Again, this happened the first time. I thought maybe it was something I did, cause I let my lights get a bit close, but this one is looking the same. We’ll see what happens I guess.

Doubtful. Chalk it up to genetics.

Give it time. I expect it will be fine in the end. I’ve had plants do similar things.

Thanks.

Give the girl some time. She will probably frost up closer to maturity.

I hope so. It’s discouraging.

I don’t think it’s quite fair to say that ILGM genetics have gone down hill. Even if the issue you’re experiencing is related to the genetics, it seems far more likely to me that it would be a fluke thing, not a problem inherent with ILGM genetics. Your issue wouldn’t fall under their germination guarantee, but they have excellent customer service, and if you reach out for them they might be happy to replace the seeds for you.

Either way, good luck, and I hope she starts frosting up for you soon!
