OG Kush Autoflower - Stunted?

A friend of mine is growing OG Kush auto for the first time, two of them actually. Both just starting week 8. One of them started flowing at the beginning of week 6 and has dozens of smaller flowers developing all over her. Looks great. The other hasn’t even started flowering yet! Like not even a drop. Nodes all over as they should be, but nothing has changed at all in almost 10 days. Not one actual flower starting to form yet. Is this normal for OG kush to take so long to flower? The plant looks super healthy. About 3.5ft tall, big, green, healthy leaves…but the lack of any development at all in well over a week has my friend concerned. Nutes, ph, water…all good. The one thing he did tell me was he did some pretty good defoliating during week 5, taking the lower 1/3-1/2 of everything off. Top canopy untouched and looking amazing. Could this have been too much stripping to actually completely stunt the plant from flowering? No other signs that the plant is stressed at all. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Picture would help, but to encourage flowering, you could change the light schedule to 12/12, and see if she starts to take off.

Thanks! I’ll work on the pics. Will switching to 12/12 (on 18/6 now) do much to hurt the other one that seems to be doing well? Also, if the switch to 12/12 works and it starts to flower, can he switch BACK to 18/6?

I don’t recommend switching back, and the other in the same space should be fine with 12/12.
Just in case there’s a risk of revegging.
