How Close From Harvest? - ILGM OG Kush

  • OG Kush

  • Entering Week 10 from seed

I use a jewelers loupe, but even at 60x I have a hard time seeing the clarity of the trichomes. I am, however, fairly positive there are no amber trichomes yet. I don’t expect anyone to give me a definite answer without close up pics of the trichomes, but judging from the pistils and the overall look of the plant how far off does it look from harvest?

I noticed that there are less red pistils as you look down the stem vs the pistils at the very top. Not sure what that means, if anything.

If anyone has grown ILGM OG Kush, or knows somebody on here that grows it, maybe you could tell me how many days to harvest it was in your experience.

Another week maybe 2. Depending on the medium, if soil or coco, you can start your flush

OG Kush takes 8 weeks in Flower to mature. How long have you seen the pistils?

It’s entering week 11 from seed and entering week 7 of flower to the best of my knowledge. I’m not 100% sure when I saw its first pistils. Another week does seem to make sense to me since I don’t see any amber trichomes yet and it seems the pistils are not at 75% red yet.

3-4 more weeks it’s bulking up

I didn’t realize autos were meant to flower for 10 to 11 weeks. I thought the entire point for autos was 10 to 12 weeks to harvest from seed.

False advertising. If you look they still list time as “flowering time” not grow time. The ruderalis genetics just allows you to avoid the need to change the lighting, it really doesn’t make it any faster for the grow.

I agree with wickedale . Im actually growing 4 ilgm super skunk autos and mine are going on 2 months in veg . April 1 broke ground and are just now starting to show …well i dont know if they are even pre flower(im a first time grower) yet but they have pistils and are lush and green so im happy . Just be happy that you got them this far and know that within a couple of weeks all that patience will pay off nicely !

Okay, well, it looks like I’ll just wait a little longer. I don’t really care. I’m not in a mad rush or anything. Let me ask this. Since I was under the impression she was closer than she actually is, I’ve skipped two feedings and therefore its only got ph’d water the last four waterings. The PPM of the run-off was only 200 the last time. She’s due to be watered tonight. Should I re-start flowering nutes?

I would restart. You should really judge by the status of tricomes. Most people start the flush when the see ambers and all cloudy.

Ya. I would hit her with like week 6 of flower recipe maybe. Somewhere around there anyway.

Thanks everyone for everything you’ve told me so far. I feel fortunate to have the help of this forum. I apparently completely misunderstood the plant’s stages/lifespan. I took your advice and fed It with cal-mag, big bloom, and tiger bloom. Hopefully she’ll pack on a little more weight despite missing the last two feedings.

Some plants are always going to take longer, I haven’t had many that followed what someone else said they would do
