Newbie needing pest help

Hello. I am relatively new with growing. I am growing outdoors in 20 gallon fabric pots. My medium is coast of Maine with about a quarter of coco noir mixed in. I’m battling aphids. They are getting worse by day. A week ago I had ladybugs delivered, they were already all escaping, so I let the 100 or so I still had loose in my garden. (Tomatoes, cucumber and my girls. There are only 2 or 3 lady bugs still around, but the aphid population is growing quickly. My first grow was the year before last and I had spider mite infestation. Used Neem until flowering started, but never did get it under control. And, the little bit of bud I salvaged had a horrible Neem essence. I’m trying to stay away from it. I’ve read through some of the past posts and see people recommend captain jacks. I also see spraying with soapy water. Can these be used in flower? Will they help? Will they taint the bud? Last night just after sunset I hosed the girls down. Was afraid they’d be dead this morning, they look great, but even more aphids. :grimacing: Do I keep hosing? Should I get captain jacks or blue dawn, or Castile soap? Please help. This is my first post here and I’m not certain I’m doing it right. Sorry if doesn’t post right. Thank you all in advance.

I accidentally uploaded a pic of them after a storm. They are staked and standing tall. I can’t figure out how to delete photos.

Captain Jack’s is safe all the way to harvest. There are also other products that are safe as well. I recommend finding 2 or even 3 products (Arbor is my 2nd in rotation and has hemp specifically listed), and rotating them. I had aphids really bad on my Jasmine and the Captain Jacks knocked them right out. Just gotta keep up and stay on top of them.

Thank you so much! I got the captain jacks soap and a bottle of the dead bug concentrate. I’m assuming I would use the soap first for a few days?

Id use the bottle first for a few days and then swap to the soap…

If you eliminate any ants in your garden it will help with the fight against aphids ants put them on your plants so they can collect honey dew
