Looking for suggestions on CO2
Previously I had aeration issues discussed in another post. As a result, I attempted a transplant one that failed miserably. I stunted her growth, but shes still growing. She taught me not to transplant the other two so I manipulated as much topsoil and perlite as I could into their pots, and began two weeks of flushing with 6.50 PH spring water. In an effort to assist the plants comeback, 6 days ago I trimmed off all leaves that looked like they’d produce nothing and in many cases were preventing lower nodes from receiving light and my photos show how fast they came back. It looks like I never touched them. I am concerned with the fact that they’re not growing in height, most likely because when I was trimming leaves I topped them.
Now that we’re up to date on history, my question is do these leaves look healthy, and how do I know when It’s time to start on the flowering light schedule?
They look healthy IMO. You should expect them to pretty much double in size after the flip. Consider than and the amount of grow space you have when deciding to flip. I’d say 6-8 weeks of veg is about average. Do you plan on lollipopping your plants?
IDK if you are asking or if it was copied and pasted, but runoff is the water that runs out the bottom of the pot when you water your plants. Measuring the ppm/EC and pH of the runoff water gives you insight into the conditions in the medium. It helps a great deal when trying to diagnose any issues.
I am.I’ve noticed they’re super yellow green in the new growth areas and I’m not sure if that is normal. I don’t want to open the door in the future and see wilting plants because of something I could be doing now and I’ve read people are supplying CO2 in their grow tents. it’s the only thing I haven’t considered yet,
Youre fine just keep doing what youre doing. Co2 is an advanced growing tech and require$ a lot of investment to do and do right. Its also 100% not going to fix a deficiency. Which you dont have. Like mentioned above light colored new growth is natural and healthy. Think of it like a plant under a rock that never got enough light. Theyre pale and weak. So is new growth persay. Theyre just getting their first doses of light and havent allocated much chlorophyll to the newer growth yet.
If you are wanting to experiment with co2 I would start with a co2 “bag” you mix them together upon buying them and then hang the bag. Over your plants. Not to expensive if your just wanting to experiment… that being said co2 for 4 plants might be a waste? Kind of more of a production thing I feel
I emit the co2 into air from my tanks. I have no experience with the bags. But if I couldn’t afford the system I got. I would definitely have a bunch of mushroom bag’s hanging in my room good to know.
I need a controller and monitor for my tanks. Was gifted a couple tanks awhile back and havent done anything with em yet. Which is dumb on my part because Inkbird sponsors me and i could have all of it. But at the same time didnt want to get the stuff and not be promoting it for them. Did a lot on fb and kept getting my pages banned so i said screw it and left fb and havent been back.
