I’m a beginner grower, my first try was with some mystery seeds I collected. Out of 3 plants, I yielded a little over 2.5 ounces. So I ordered better seeds and have sprouted 1 of them in soil. It is now 3 1/2 weeks old and under a 250 MH lamp. It is about 3 inches tall. It just seems it should be bigger at this point. Any suggestions?
the yellow look on the leaves is just glare from flash and lights, the leaves are all bright green and healthy looking. I am using Fox Farms Trio for nutrients.
You are overwatering. Let the soil dry out completely before watering again. Roots will get flooded and your plant can dampen off and die if you don’t let the roots expand and fill the pot. They won’t seek out water if you are giving them too much.
@PigmanBBQ and @MattyBear have you covered…follow their advice and you will be in good shape.
Hard to tell from photo, it appears that you have sprayed the leaves, be careful with this practice as the water droplets can act as magnifiers and burn the leaves. Personally, I don’t spray my plants other than to correct a problem like bugs, mildew or some such issue.
If you want to spray them, do it near to lights out so they are dry before the lights come back on.
Large containers take longer for a seedling to fill out with roots, too. Once the roots have developed more, like said above, she’ll really take off! Good luck!
Some take there time and others pop and take off like rockets in my growing experience anyway I drop different strains and treat them the same and some stay small for the first few weeks and they end up passing up the ones that shot up from the start.
I wouldn’t worry about it. I’ve seen weird looking plants that only grew single bladed leaves. Some strains only ever grow 5 blades, some do 7 or even 9.
