Newbie here - Sanity Grow Check

Greetings all, sanity check here.

New to growing and wanted any tips/suggestions along the way.

I believe I’ve trimmed decently, but I still have some shaded fan leaves. Also, I’ve been questioning if I’m spreading too much and should start pushing my training more upward.

Apologies if I sound like an idiot - again, I’m new.

Strain: OG Godfather (Auto)
Dropped around NYE.

Happy growing! You’re in the right place for guidance from the experts. To me it looks like you have her spread out pretty good. I’d let her ride for a bit and keep bending her how you want her for shape. :call_me_hand:t2:

And just remember the fan leaves are your plants solar panels. Only remove if the block bud sites or airflow once in flower.

Looking great Grow Bro :muscle::muscle:. I use a similar technique with the pins to get the structure I like. Once the plant starts lifting the pins or the branches reach the outside of the pot I switch to soft ties to LST :love_you_gesture:

Hello there Sir @sangori and welcome to the forum!

You did a really fine job at training your plant. :+1:

@Truetopath has got the right answer for defoliation… I would just add, you can/should remove any leaves that touches the soil too.

Thank you, I was actually trying to get those lower guys up a bit more now, I went a bit too deep when I transplanted.

Greetings Grow Family and Gurus!

Of course there’s a problem.
I was smooth sailing for some time, but Murphy keeps writing laws….so I’m having problems during flower.

Probs: Slow growth, due to light problems I believe.

Reason: She got way too tall and close to the light, so I had to make some adjustments.

Initial Assessment: I believe the this shocked her pretty bad. (:folded_hands:t5: Good energy sent up)

Solution: Adjustments have been made about a week ago. Added supplemental lights, using translucent sunlight, I believe I went too much deep red - blasting sideways as well. My
Main grow light that started burning her, is too far away (I know) and shining from the side at a 5” above canopy height. Trash set up, I know. Working on it.

Fear: The curling at the bottom that is occurring now is scaring me a bit, especially being so close to the finale. I’m nervous this could end up being a far worse situation. Watering is about every 2-3 days, (about a half day/day after I see the watering pot dry).

:folded_hands:t5: Gurus grant me your knowledge, please.
