Newbie and overly excited

Nice start, and welcome friend. Happy growing. If it’s stretching it wants more light. Lower your light or turn up the dimmer a tad. Or shim it up on another empty hard pot if that’s easier, like a shim.

If it keeps stretching, or you find it starts leaning over, you can put a little more soil in around the stem to support it. That typically works better than bracing it with a small stick. Soil around the
stem won’t hurt anything. It will root thru it as it grows.

Im also to the point I need to look into nutritional products… I thought about adding just worm casting and a little more soil to top it off hopin the nutritional would trickel down

Welcome to the forum! I would definitely add soil. At least halfway up. But a cute little girl!

Welcome aboard. She looks pretty happy. Maybe just a tad stretchy, but when they are this young it can be hard for new growers to find that light balance. Especially with seedlings it’s a fine line between ideal and too much. You could move your light down an inch or so and wait a day to see how it responds. If it starts getting pale bending and twisting away from the light, it’s too much.
as for the nutrition, I would suggest doing some research on synthetic vs organic nutes to decide which direction you want to go. Happy frog will feed a plant for about 3 weeks maybe a bit more if your growing slowly. I personally save synthetics for my coco grows and use organic methods in soil, but that’s just a personal preference. EWC (earth worm castings) are kinda misunderstood a lot of the time. They do carry some nutritional value, but there main use is to inoculate the soil with benaficial microbes that will digest organic compounds into a water soluble ions that the plant can take up through the roots. This is the basis of organics. Synthetics skip the microbes and give the plants those soluble ions directly in the form of salts that dissolve in water. I think organics is easier and less effort and equipment, but again that’s just my opinion. There are many around that would disagree.

I’m definitely going organic route as much as possible… also I’m currently using my 10g fish tank light it has purple mode, a yellow/ warm mode and a red blue and white mode  I say its ok for about 2/3 weeks than its time for a big girl… its about roughtly 8 to 10 inches away from the top of plant… I believe I could have put the seed down a bit more in soil… Also have some topping nutes comeing yay!!!

You will definitely need good light as soon as possible That one won’t get you very far. Cannabis uses more light and a wider spectrum than most any light not made specifically for the purpose. That will be the biggest and most impotent investment in your grow. It’s your plants energy source. Assuming all other inputs are correct more light means more yield every time.
for your current situation you could probably go to 24 hr light to help compensate but if you get the light too close you might have issues.

When you say topping nutes, what product are you talking about? I’ve never needed anything special for topping.

I’ve never had any issues adding more soil. I always use happy frog.

I would also suggest transplanting into a larger pot.

when should i transplant

Honestly, I would get it done asap. And then you can bury her deeper at the same time. I put my newly sprouted seeds right into their ‘forever’ home, a 3 gal cloth bag.

you think a 5g planter to much

Not at all! Lol! A lot of growers use them.

If your going organic you will want a big pot. it will help keep the soil moist and therefore the microbes booming. A 5 gal would be fine for synthetics but it will be easier on you if you go a little bigger. For an auto 10-15 gal is probably good, but a lot of growers just go as big as they can manage. I really liking the highway dust. Thats what I have been using this round and so far I am quite pleased. Oh an cannbis isn’t like a fruit tree that will die if you bury it too deep. I’ve even pick off lower leave to bur it deeper
