Hey all, so this is my first time grow and this is after 6 days from soil breakout. For about 3-4 days there has been these small yellow lines that have gotten no worse or better. I thought maybe I was overwatering since that is easy to do in large pot. I have a probe that I am using now to monitor and have cut back on watering for about 2 days. I also had low humidy of about 30% but I have fixed that to be around 55-65% since yesterday.
Strain is autoflower white widow in 3 gallon fabric pots( 2 plants). Soil is Fox Farms Happy Frog and a super soil on the lower 1/3 of pots. 300W LED Full spectrum light, temps are steady between 67 and 75. Tent size is 2x2x4.
Small amounts of water. I’d only be misting the soil a few times a day at this stage with a spray bottle. You might see slowed growth above the soil while the plant builds its root system. Make sure you don’t water too much and drown the roots
I have only been using a spray bottle so far but I would spray multiple times a day that was probably overkill. I have cut back since for that concern. Appreciate the feedback!
Hey I just planted an Autoflower also in a bigger pot cuz I wondered why not always a small cup outit’s too hard to keep watered it dries out too fast so I put it in a cup and that’s easier but if you could send me a picture I would just like to see how it compares to mine it doesn’t seem to look right either okay.
I was thinking about your spray bottle, was it used for anything else apart from water ? and did you clean the living daylights out of it before you used it on your gal ?..the pot thickens
They are growing little by little and I have cut back to spraying lightly with water in morning and a little at night when it seems dry. They leaves and stem have grown around half an inch to 3/4 of inch overall. @James68 I did have a clean spray bottle and rinsed it out with just very hot water. Did not use soaps. I was wondering this too at the beginning.
The yellowing has gone down on both a little, its almost like the new growth starts out yellow then turns greener. The 3rd set of leaves were small and yellow in my first pics and you can see in these they have grown since Friday and have turned greener on one of the plants. Just going to be patient as long as they keep growing!
Don’t spray the leaves. Just the soil. Water left sitting on the leaves with the lights on can burn the leaves in that location. No need for foliage spray at this stage. Do not over water either. They don’t need much right now. Letting the soil dry out a little will encourage better root growth too. Good Luck and they look fine.
