Growth Rate Question - White Widow Auto

Yesterday was day 29 since planting these babies. I’ve seen such varied pictures I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t doing something wrong or that there wasn’t something that I should be doing that I’m not doing. Growing in FFOF - no nutes - RO water 18/6 light schedule. This is where they were last night when I took this pic.

Any input’s appreciated.

Looks like nice tight node spacing to me. Looks like you are growing in a small space so most likely yours are staying short because you have a good amount light on them. They look healthy to me and they will take off before you know it.

If you wanted to try and get them to stretch a little you could raise your light up some. If you are In a small space though you don’t want them to stretch too much.

@Jmesser80 I have a 2’x2’x4’ grow tent using a 300W LED light. I raised the light a couple of inches yesterday so I’m hoping it will help them stretch a bit. A lot of things I’ve read also say that these autoflowers start flowering in like 4 weeks - mine aren’t flowering yet and still bushing out. I think they look good but it’s my first time, so I’m just trying to make sure I’m on track throughout the whole process. And I’m having a hard time being patient, too. :slight_frown:

Lol we have all been there. Patience is key for sure. I have 5 regular white widows going at the moment and they are 4 weeks into flower so I’m getting a bit antsy myself.

@Jmesser80 Sweet - you growing autos or photos?

They look good.

Can’t enlarge the pic but it looks like a little possible leaf tip damage. A picture in normal light would be easier to see. The pH might be off a little if the tips are brown. Other than that, looks good. Jerry

Yeah that just popped up yesterday - I don’t use nutes so it’s not nute burn, but will be keeping an eye on it.

Sounds like a pH problem for sure !

@TxGrowman I’ve been using RO water since I planted them but watered with tap water on accident the other day - I use tap in my humidifier but RO in the pots - then this came up. Back to watering with RO so hopefully it will correct itself.

@growingherbies mine are photos. I’ve never tried growing autos before. Currently I only grow indoors and I like to be able to train the plants to get the most yeild I can. I am planning on growing a few outdoors sometime and when I do that I’ll probably try some autos.

@Jmesser80 Awesome. This is my first attempt and I just have a 2x2x4 grow tent, so I wanted smaller plants to start out with - plus the benefit of being able to grow in a shorter time period and more than one grow season a year - so we’ll see how it goes. Might upgrade in the future, but I figured this was a good place to start.

@growingherbies I’m also a beginner but I have grown WWAF and they stayed small and dense for about 6 weeks. One of my plants only matured to be 10" tall but still produced a little over 2 oz. , even with PH problems early on.

Your plants look healthy, keep up the good grow :v::seedling:

i started with ilgm mix-pack,blueberry,amnisia haze, and ak-47 for some reason they sent ak-47 instead of northern lights. all turned out to be medium height except one…amnisa haze…i started two of each when i got them… all autos. so i would not worry your plants look healthy just set back and watch them grow @growingherbies
