Newb Cheese Closet Grow

As far as those nutes or additives, I’m not familiar with them at all so I won’t comment for fear of giving bad info.

I unfortunately don’t have any social media and we are NOT allowed to share personal information here so I wouldn’t be able to ship a light to you. But, if you’re not opposed to building your own light setup or happen to find an affordable light but don’t really know much about it, @dbrn32 is a light guru and a one of our great mods here. He’s advised me a few times with lighting and he won’t steer you wrong.

@Covertgrower would you be able to share Nicky’s start using DLI thread for this fine grower please. I have no clue how to do it myself.

Thank you so much. Also, thank you @Jake3 . It was much needed information and thank you for letting me know about the forum rule! I do apologize.

FEB 5TH UPDATE:

I “flushed” the soil with ph’d water.
Used a lux meter to dim the light.
As of right now, the plants are sitting under an estimated 10k Lux.

Does the Photone app need to be calibrated on an android phone?

I’m not sure. Never used it. I don’t remember who has. @DoneDeal or @kaptain3d might know someone…

@DEEPDIVERDAVE and @Dexterado were also using it. I had to search a bit. Thanks @kaptain3d

The calibrating setting did not exist when we used the photon app. The updated app does have the option to calibrate but the app itself does it automatically to whatever your factory setting are. Not sure if that’s specific to iPhone or android. I personally wouldn’t calibrate unless you think it’s off.

I just used an app and it’s reading

289 PPFD and 25 DLI. Should I increase the lighting?
I also ripped a piece of leaf off my plant by accident. What will the effect of this be?

This is the DLI chart I use. 25-30 DLI is good for vegetative growth. I would however check the light at full power at like 15inches above canopy to see what you can get for a reading and set the app to a 12hr cycle to see if you’re able to hit the ideal DLI numbers for mid to late flower. Then be sure to set yank the way it was. lol.

The plant will be fine with that little tear.

Not sure how accurate or correct any of this is but at about 18-20 inches these are the readings

I never did calibrate it so I guess I’ll go with it. Thanks for the reply.

You’re set on 24hr mode not 12 hr. I would think that makes the DLI actually 50 for a 12hr flower period but I could be wrong with a calculation.

Ill check it on 12hr now

64.8 when set to 12hr

As far as I know, only the apple products need a diffuser on them. Androids do not.
