Hello. This is my first attempt at growing. These two, CBD Kush, were planted on June 11th, six+ weeks ago. They were planted in peat pots with a mixture of Blacks Roots organic mix and Premium Moisture Potting mix with some Perlite added. PH has been steady at 7 and I feed them once a week with a liquid plant food, 24-8-16. At five weeks I moved them to five gal. bags and onto my deck. They look good to me though maybe stretched some ? Are they entering the flowering stage ? If so, I am starting to feed them Jacks 1-3-2. Any and all advice appreciated.PS.90’s the next few days.Just keep them in the shade or bring inside?
Your plant is flowering. It looks to be 1 or 2 weeks into flowering, so you have 7 to 9 weeks to go until harvest.
A couple of suggestions:
Your plant will benefit greatly from more direct sunlight.
Avoid soils that say “moisture control” or “feeds for x weeks.” Stay away from Miracle Grow and Vigoro products. They are not good for cannabis.
Fox Farm soils, Coast of Maine, Black Magic, and Roots organics are all properly buffered for cannabis.
I would get it closer to 6.5. 6.3 to 6.9 is a good range for a cannabis plant.
This is due to inadequate lighting.
Ditch this and stick with the Jacks 321 and Epsom salt for magnesium and sulfur.
Thanks so much for the reply and advise. I’ve only been giving them a few hours of sun as it’s been hot here. How much would you recommend?
I’ll work on the PH for sure
Will switch soils next grow. ( I used my wife’s garden stuff) .
I just read Epsom salt 1 tsp / gal. How often?
Jacks 1-3-2 arrives tomorrow.
A much as you can give it. Cannabis is incredibly light hungry. The only plants that need more sun than cannabis are palm trees, olive trees, and some species of cacti.
Feed as necessary to maintain a runoff PPM of ~,1000.
HI again. My autos are now four months / 17 weeks old. Grown outdoors it’s been a tough summer / fall with heat ,cold & wind. It seems it should be time to harvest but not seeing much if any amber trichomes .
Any thoughts appreciated.
