New to DWC, What nutrients do you suggest?

From the close up shots of the trichomes, to the beautifully matured flower, everything points to being ready to chop when you are ready to do so.
Plant training is an art, and some of it is flying by the seat of your pants, but it’s never a mistake, it only turns out different.
Supercropping is recommended before flipping, and LST is recommended after it’s hardened off. As out of control as she looks, I think she turned out well.
Very nice.
Enjoy your harvest!
Happy growing next round! Can’t wait to see what you have going next!

I ordered it through their website directly, I could only really find it on Amazon, eBay, or direct. Direct it was 50 lbs for $180 delivered. Everywhere else it was like 5-10 lbs for almost $100 delivered.

I know I’ll use it over time, actually this has been a “ gateway” experience for me and now I’m trying to start a vegetable garden so it should double over for that too.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Definitely learned a few things. I will look into those more for my next go.

now on to curing/drying. I’m going to aim for 60F/60% and 7-14 days. Last time they dried too fast I think. Realistically it will probably be more like 60%/65F.

@Covertgrower

I have been using the mixing technique as you have suggested and it has worked well. However I’ve got a plant going into flowering and it’s getting some spots on the leaves all over. Any recommendations? 1.1 VPD, 75F.

Would a low PH cause this?

@Bubblegumfreak, i whole heartedly agree with the advice offered. I use jacks in coco with autopots. The one thingi can advise on the mixing.
If your using tap/well water you may need to adjust your mixture of nutes.
I believe package suggests 3.6g a and 2.4g b? If i mix full strength with my tap water it puts me on the 1500 ish range on ppms. Ive dialed it in with my water source and am using 3g a 2 g b 1g epsom. But you could go 3.4 2.2 and 1. Just keep it at a 321 ratio.
Happy groing gromie :v:

Thank you.

I am using tap water, however I am mixing up 6 gallons at a time. I let the tap water sit for a day before mixing/using. I’ve read this helps with any chlorine. I use warm water in small amounts to help dissolve the jacks/salt.

I tested the PPM of the recommended mixture and I get 965PPM +- a few points every time.

For the nutes I weighed out the A+ salt and vacuum sealed them in small packets then B separated in a small packet for this 6 gallon container. Both vacuumed/heat sealed. I went with the giant bags from their website as it was cheaper and needed a way to keep them sealed.

This specific plant is in an auto pot with soil/coco/perlite mixed. I’ve grown in this same soil previously.

The feed is PH’d at 6 and I’ve been using it for both hydro and soil. I’m testing out both methods side by side. I think maybe my problem is the soil feed needs a higher PH, as this didn’t happen until about a week after it started showing pistols. My tap naturally after adding the feed is 6.7PH. I add “down” to get it to 6-6.1ph and check it again before feeding. I think this might be what’s happening.

I run the VPD as 1-1.3, I am paying attention to that more than the temp/humidity. Inside, but it peaks at about 75F.

So I think I am going to give the next feed at 6.5 PH for the soil and see what happens. I see on a chart that calcium is locked out until about 6.25PH or so for soil grows and the closest thing this looks like to me is a calcium deficiency. I don’t want any PH shock/swing so I figure bumping it up to 6.5 then 6.7 would be ideal. If that doesn’t work within a few days/week then I will try adding some cal-mag.

It’s about the only information I can find on my own about it, if anyone has any tips or advice I am all ears.

It has been a few days and it’s drinking quite a bit still. However the same leafs with this issue are worse. It’s more isolated to the top half of the plant. . It’s on a 1.1 gallon autopot and it’s emptying it every 2 days.

Reading around I am seeing cal-mag deficiency’s when running LED lights, but I am not certain if that applies to this jacks formula, like if that has already accounted for that.

Do I need to add extra cal mag?

Using the jacks 3-2-1 with the 300W LED lights that I have, the aforementioned issue with the plant has been remedied through the use of additional Cal-mag. The PH change alone didn’t do anything.

I used the formula covertgrower posted above, but once in pre-flower some leaf’s started getting those rust looking spots on them. It’s only on this one plant, I have 2 others growing with the same 3-2-1 formula without issue. This specific plant I added 23ML cal-mag for 6 gallons of feed on top of whatever the jacks has in it. I removed the leaves with these brown spots and it has stopped growing on new growth. Maybe this specific strain needed more, I am not sure. I’ll see when the others catch up to this point in growth. This made the standard mix of about 1000PPM on my side up to about 1100 PPM overall for this last batch of feed.

This specific strain is one of the largest Autos I have grown, being apple strudel from 2fast4buds. It’s over 6 foot tall indoor, where all of my other auto’s are staying shorter. The Photoperiod I grew last year I let veg for 2 months. This Auto is the same size it was then, but a month sooner so that may explain the need for extra nutrients. It’s still stretching up a bit, definitely a huge plant compared to what I am used to growing. 6 foot tall, about 3 feet wide. The seed was popped 9-9-24 and is currently 1.5 weeks or so into preflower.

This is in the recipe for jacks. If you need additional increase part B and epsom salt for magnesium.
