New tent grow- ICC from PCG

I’m ending the year with another tent grow. This time around, I picked up some Ice Cream Cake (photos) from PCG( Purple City Genetics) growing in Royal Gold Kings mix just like one of my other grows. Using GH maxi nutes (maxigro, floralicious plus and Flora blend.) Feeding once a week with a dose of water in between. I’m trying my hand again at LST or SOG to fill in the netting I’ve used in my GG4 grow. It’s been abot 3 weeks for three of the plants and 2 weeks for the last one (front right).

When I picked them, they had about 7-8 nodes when i topped them and carefully bent them over. My light is a SF4000 raised to about 20-24 inches above at about 40% power. Have a small space heater in there to keep some heat since the tent is located in the garage. I’ve been doing preventative sprays once a weeks with Growers Ally Crop Defender 3.

What does everyone think? Going from a greenhouse background to learning tent is a learning curve. Before flipping to flower, I’ll be taking some cuttings and doing some clones.

Any tips on the best way to Scrog. I think im doing it correct so far. Been training the branching about once a week due to the growth. Trying to get the best out of the grow.

I’m not a net guy , I think they are more pain in the ass than they are worth. It limits you from taking your plants out of the grow or rotating… I’m a big fan of spreading limbs out for better light penetration an air flow. You will end up with large full colas. Good luck :v:

I’ve done one other grow similar to this grow. My first grow was 3 plants instead of 4. This grow has vegged more in a short amount of time. First grow took a few months to veg, maybe due to my light at a low percent of power. I’m trying my best to get a full net or close before the flip. I’ll be taking some cuttings off to clone and have a next round ready by the time I get done.

Here’s an update on the grow, Coming in very nicely, watering/feeding every 3rd-4th day (about 4 gallons of water) Light is up to 50% after a matter of couple weeks of being on 40%. Any tips on getting a good coverage on the netting before the flip. The first 3 are at the corners and been to fill in the open. Being my 2nd LST/SCROG tent grow, I’m open to ideas. I’m planning on taking cuttings for the next grow. I just did some weaving/tucking tonight before feeding with run off.

Here’s an update since it’s been less then a month. It’s almost time to flip after the new year. I took some clones and been waiting to see if I’m going to have to take more cuttings or not. Have 4 rooting well and still have more after taking cuttings on 12/24/23. I’m going to try some new nutes during flowering. Going to use Cutting Edge Louder Powder. What a great way to end the year!! @Low @FUKAZ28 @kellydans

Update on the clones. Transplanted all the clones last night and tonight and have them in in my 2x2 tent. Flipped the 4 plants last night. I wasn’t sure how many would take hold so I did up a little to many. Potted them in Royal Gold Kings mix with some water. We’ll see how they do in the matter of weeks to come. The 4x4 tent will be a test run on Louder Powder but should put out hopefully.

Here’s an update since it has been a few weeks. These photos were taken on Monday. These are about 3.5 weeks from the flip ( Jan 2nd,2024) coming along very nicely I think. Thinned out all the lower branches and leaves. Had the light a little to low so got some burned fan leaves

As far as my clones, I had no die offs and growing nice and healthy. Cleaned and sprayed with crop defender 3 when I spray the flower tent.

I’m about 3-4 weeks into flower and I’m starting to have some discoloring leaves. I’m using louder powder, sugeree, and organic Calmag. With each watering, i do have run off, light is up to 100% power, about 12inch above the canopy, with 1 fan under the canopy and 2 fans above. I think it’s light burn but i could be wrong. I when through and thinned out some of the damaged leaves. Using my loop, it seems like there’s like a brown sap under. I was unable to get a photo of the sap?? under. Does anyone any idea what would be causing this?
