New tenants moved in

Morning all! I was transplanting into final homes and when moving my yellow sticky things I noticed this odd one. Never seen this in my research of other big issues I’ve had. Anyone know? For scale the strip is about 2.5 inches tall.

Plants are nice green and healthy. So no damage appears to be done but checking.

My other tenant is a grasshopper in my basement. No idea how it got there but I’ll make sure it doesn’t find its way into the tent. Take care all.

Looks like a Japanese beetle
I downloaded an app called seek by i naturalist

It’s freee and identifies everything

It is a beetle of some sort. There are just too many to be sure which one.
We get Japanese beetles every year and they are much larger and bright green.
Unless you see lots of them I wouldn’t worry.

It looks like a common ‘drugstore beetle’. They feed on grains, bread, flour, etc.
