New indoor grower. Whats the best soil mix for starting up

Hey everyone, im new to indoor growing and i want to give a proper shot at growing some autoflowerz. Ive already got the seeds (skittlez). I hear im best to start the seeds directly in pot but what kind of soil shoukd i use. Is there a recipe i can use to perform better? My first run was a fail. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated

look into fox farm soil, or mother earth perlite and coco. those are 2 well known mediums for growing in. two different ways of growing
coco/perlite does a little better and is a little easier to maintain than soil
fox farm soil is well known and has proven results as well, plenty of good options out there.
i use indicanja living organic soil, worth lookin into as well.

Look into Coast of Maine soil lines (Stonington blend) @ChittyChittyBangin grows exclusively with this line with great success :love_you_gesture:

A lot of growers mix FF Happy Frog and Ocean Forest. @OGIncognito mentioned a good one. You can wait for a month+ before needing any nutrients in them. Or you can put in a little more work and you can go with coco and Jack’s.

Coast of maine stonington blend using their dry amendments. Easiest way ive grown.

Do you order these soils online, seems expensive to go that way. Ive read that pro-mix potting soil is a good starters blend and ive more readily available where i am. Just curious as to ammendments if needed

Promix contains zero nutes. You have to add amendments in order to charge the medium. I buy my soil online amd recycle it. It costs a little bit on startup, but after a few grows it pays for itself.

I use 707 roots organics. Soil with there dry amendments really a breeze and they have there original blend as well if your trying to go a little heavier but 707 isn’t too hot it’s does retain water really well so not so heavy on the watering and you’ll be fine …
