They’re pretty cheap and the 3-way and 4-way outlets are too. Just load up on them
All that being said, the buds under my LED’s seem to be bigger, or at least a little ahead, of the ones under the less intense LED tubes. Light is a factor in yield. I think you’ll do fine, but you might do even better if you put some more intense lighting in. If that makes sense.
One must stay within their budget, though.
I can easily cover the 50W/sq foot with CFL, can even go for more if need be but if you think a combo of CFL + LED would be better I am happy to take advice. It’s not so much keeping within a set budget, I was just looking at keeping costs down. I am slowly purchasing + storing supplies each pay cycle while I source materials to build my work shed So I have time to save for more expensive items if they are going to work better for me.
Rember it’s 50 true watts. Most 100w CFL’s are actually 23 watts. So, you’d want 2 per sf. I think you’re on top of it, though. Just wanted to make sure.
Yep always looking at true watts, I’m pretty sure I can source true 80w CFL’s for the veg. Ut I’ll be checking on my way home from work this arvo
You can definitely get higher power ones
If they are the right ones then I’m cheering cos it’s my local supermarket Is there a downside if I go higher than 50w/sq ft?
If you go too high you can bleach or burn the plants. I doubt you’d do that with CFL’s but I suppose you could. No need to go higher really, IMO.
Id also look into the quantum boards for lighting. Depending on what your paying for leds, at least take a look. Hlg quabtum board.
