Soil type? And have you a massive swing in temperature lately?
Fairly acidic, but w/ decent amount of lime added
Summer’s been pretty average in Chicago area
I did find some stuff on “purple disease”, w/ identical pics, but no clear understanding of the cause and it was fairly transitory for most plants
