So I am new at this tent growing, I have a 3x3x6 tent and I’m currently growing skittles autoflower that I did buy from your website in mother earth coco coir and perlite mix with advanced nutrients, she getting ready to start week 4, can you tell me what I did wrong, I think I didn’t give her enough nutrients and that’s why she is so small, I’m going to to start giving her a full dose of nutrients daily, I have only been doing a half dose
She’s growing just fine… she’s developing her roots right now and as soon as they are strong, she’ll take off.
Some autos just turn out small (runts) and I have no idea why.
Thank you so much for that, I really thought I was doing something wrong, she is getting root nutrients (voodoo juice) as well
When you water her, make a ring outside the stem with the water so her roots have to stretch to get it.
Welcome to the community !
This is where I was 2 weeks ago to know and this is my first time. Best piece of advice is make sure the plant is strong enough before going to other watering sources aside from just standard misting and when it gets to that point water around the stem never at the base. This will limit the potential for root rot and will encourage the roots to grow outward and towards the water rather than getting drowned in it. In my book I’d rather water less than too much but live by the two inch tile. If you go two inches into the soil and it doesn’t feel wet and doesn’t stick to your finger then it’s time to water. Keep checking the ph in run off and also in your water and soil. I check mine almost everyday
Gotcha did not know that, I did forget to add she is a in 10 gallon fabric pot
Thank you😁
I really appreciate the info, I have been feeding her half dose of nutrients for the last 3 days with a full dose of root strengthener, she got just plain water today, tomorrow is the start of week 4 for her and I was going to start giving her a full dose of nutrients
So what I do is take a 16 oz water bottle and cut it in half. Make an indentation around the seedling tomato like a ditch. That’s where I water so I keep the water off of the stem itself. Like this:
Thank you again for all your help and info, I greatly appreciate it, I did that this morning when I water her
Okay for soil, but I don’t think this applies when growing in coco. In veg I can skip a day and be ok, in flower I feed them 3-5 times a day. I did better with coco once I started thinking of it as hydro rather than soil.
And that’s what I have been thinking, thank you so much for the info greatly appreciated! I started week 4 today and she got a full dose of nutrients today and I will be doing it daily
Duh! I didn’t read the coco - sorry
Yeah I’m growing in a coco coir and perlite mix from brand mother earth, I have actually lowered my light as well, I started the circular water feeding yesterday making sure not to get to close to the stem, I had my light 3ft above her and i have moved it down to about 14 inches above her now, thank you again for all your help!!
@Caligurl I have one more question if that’s cool, I have a small fan in my tent to help circulate the air in the tent, do I nee to have it pointed directly at my girl?
It depends on how strong the fan is… I would say as long as you see her wiggle a little it’s good but don’t let her leaves batter the other leaves. So maybe point the fan in direction until you see her wiggle.

Hello guys, I hope everyone has an amazing day! Just wanted to give you guys an update on how she is doing, today is the start of week 5 from when I dropped her in her coco coir, thank you everyone for the help, it is appreciated a lot!!
Hey thanks for the tag ! I grow in soil and don’t usually feed for a few weeks into grow. I know you mentioned you’re using Coca coir . Plant starting to look a lite green in color. My first thoughts could be a little hungry.
