@MNQuincy , you might want to check out @Dennis62 journal, he has some impressive grows in MG soil, Iām sure you would enjoy seeing how he does it.

my main girl has been in Ocean Forest since planting her. I had germāed two seeds just as a back up and they both sprouted so I tossed the extra one in some miracle grow I had laying around because I didnāt have any extra FF. I just finally transplanted the back up miracle grow baby into some FF mix to see if it can make a comeback cause it was struggling. Super curious on how using MG all the way through the grow would go though so Iāll check that out!

After more time spent staring at my main girl, Iāve decided she seems like she might be getting too much light. My grok (AI) told me to keep the Ionboard s22 at max power 18" all the way through the 17 days so far but I think the third set of true leaves seem stressed so I dialed back the power to 5. Not sure if anyone can add in on this but if you look at the second photo from day 17, the small third true leaves seem disformed and the tips seem slightly white and tacoed. I also tried using the Photone app with my iphone to judge the PPM and it was close to 800-900 at max level power vs 280-400 at power 5 so riding it at 5 for the next week or two

Hey brother I use lights like yours, mine are 95w boards, yours is 115w board and I run my lights at 15 inches from the plant, at 18 inches you are fine, I love these low wattage lights 
looking at your plant you are doing great she is doing fantastic. I donāt see any problems, just water properly and itās a weed it will grow.
With ocean forest and happy frog you have enough nutrients in your soil you shouldnāt need do anything besides water and watch her grow.
I never worried about ppfd these boards are not strong enough to hurt your plant unless you get within inches 
anything 12 to 18 is good

Thatās so crazyā¦years ago, before my first grow, a well known grower in NE U.S. by the tag Darth Cultivator told me never to use anything that had MG on it. Not even the perlite.
Now Iām seeing that it actually works.
Honestly, Iāve never seen this.
But Iām glad I did.
Not that I would switch from FFOF or HF, but to know that a really respectable grower was bro scienceing meā¦

With that Photone App, itās accurate ( enough) if youāve calibrated it with printer paper. Cover your camera with paper.( Tape it so itās flat!)
Thatās your diffuser.
Then u can calibrate it.
I use it. But like ur friend said, these lights that are small aināt burning nothing.
Iām 15" @ 90 % output .
Ppm and ppfd were a lot for me to learn too.
I still donāt know much about actual plant science but here Iām learning. Iām studying this VPD graph a friend sent me to accompany a grow schedule I was given by Joe Green Home Grow Consultants. Very good photo period schedule, or clonesā¦doesnāt help with auto flowers.

I turned my lights back up to 70% per everyone saying she can probably handle it. I noticed the stems of her second set of true leaves are redish/purple and was wondering if thatās from the low temps sheās felt, low 60s with lights off. Iāll update with some pictures when shes up from her nap

Iāve gone from 18/6 to 24/0 back to 18/6 and all in a months time.
Iāve been from 60% output to 100 to 75 now 80.
I think ur plant will be able to handle it.
Did I mention nutrient burn? Wind burn? Over watering?
Ask my plantā¦Iām abusive AF 
Youāre gravy. I was told if a plant canāt take 100% output and 800 ppm at 14 days old to trash it

Yup Iām sure once Iām over the fear that Iāve caused light damage, Iāll be on to the next thing Iām doing wrong but you cant learn without making mistakes and figuring stuff out. Iāll probably end up leaving the lights at 70% for the next week or two, and then upping it back to 100% within 3-4 weeks once sheās a little bigger. Hope youāre having a good start to your saturday!
Iāve noticed, after @Growdoc advised me to dial down to 75-80ā¦he was right
So I advise u to talk to him.
When I dialed it back, two issues I was fighting were done.
I would not dial up passed 80% output unless ur plant asks for it

Day 19 - Morning Folks! Sheās roughly 6.25" tall this morning, working on her fourth set of true leaves now. Last watering was on Wednesday when I gave her 16 ozās. Thinking Iāll give her another 16 tonight as the top soil is drying out. I picked up some Fox Farm Grow Big and Iām debating using those over ILGMās veg nutes because Iāve read the FFGB arenāt as strong and Ocean Forest soil runs hot already. Anyone have opinions between the two? Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Broā¦if that is an auto, Donāt use grow big. The OF is full of all you need till flower.
Iām a full on FF guy.
That soil has anything your plant needs the first month.
And as a FF guy, I still ( if I ever use nutes at all in veg with a auto, itās in week 4 from sprout and I use 1/2 dose of Alaska fish fertilizer 5.1.1.
Then in bloom use only FF. Big Bloom Tiger Bloom and Bush Doctor Cal Mag and Beastie Bloomz.
I remember wanting to do to much.
I sacrificed money by ruining three nice plants that I burned up real bad.

Dec 24 - Day 22 - Sheās growing like a weed now, went from 5ā to 8ā+ in a couple days. Not sure if the light adjustment of lowing the light height to 13ā but also lower the power to 70% made that big of a difference or if itās just the stage the plant is in but dang itās crazy to watch her grow. Few questions for anyone who is kind enough to offer advice:

Main goal is to get the highest quality bud possible, less concerned with quantity. So should I even think about doing LST or topping? Sheās only suppose to take 70-80days to finish so I figured just letting her grow without having to heal from any stress would be best but maybe Iām wrong. I also canāt have her get too tall because my tent is only 4 foot so she canāt get taller then like 3-3.25ft .

Think Iām gonna start a quarter size serving to FFBG tonight as my soil is approaching 30 days without any. I know some have said Ocean Forest has plenty for the entire grow but this seems to be a pretty debated topic so Iām gonna go very light. Rather give her slightly more nutes than miss out on any potential growth. Gotta find that balance I suppose.

Iām using triple osmosis water with a ph of 6.5 and basically no minerals at all. Will I eventually need to add calmag or should the ocean forest be enough? Do I just wait to see a deficiency and then react or should I be more proactive and plan to add some in a future watering?

Day 24 - Sheās 11ā tall now and looking ok to me. Not that I really have anything to judge it off of but Iām not really sure what adjustments I could make if I even need to. Was hoping to figure out if the yellowing is bad or not but havenāt been able to get any feedback from here or the other thread I joined so just gonna wait to see if she dies or lives I guess.
Also still no idea on lst or topping so Iām just not gonna do it to avoid making mistakes. Started a small dose of grow big on day 22, she hasnāt responded too poorly or greatly to it so not sure if itās gonna make a difference.
Anyone have other websites or threads where they get lots of feedback? Pretty desperate to find someone to talk to and I think everyone on here is pretty busy or no longer around.

Itās the holidays so I know everyone is busy so no worries! I would love to hear your opinion on some of the questions above though and especially on the yellowing Iām seeing which is why I ended up giving her the nutes early. Sheās clawing a bit now after her first feeding as well so hoping sheās alright. Thanks friend!

Okay I went back through to remind me where I was before, I recommend watering properly and your plant looks good and my opinion has not changed.
One thing I should tell you ff trio is ment to be used together Grow big and Big bloom during veg and Tiger bloom added during flower, one of veg nutes has macro npk and the other has micro nutrients, so they should be used together, I said ffof has what your plant needs at this time, but it really wouldnāt hurt her but maybe 1/4 strength recommend feeding schedule to start.
Your plant is not that yellow and under these lights they look different, try turning off your grow light and look at her under room light, I know mine are, I think she is doing great
Donāt worry so much my friend, donāt trip at every little sign of a possible problem.
I see you now have leafs that are as wide as the pot and the plant is about the same tall as the soil is deep, so you should be watering to run off now, wetting the whole pot, waiting for pot to feel lighter before watering to run off again. It looks like your in a 5gal bag? After watering to run off it should take a few days to dry enough to water again.
These are weeds and they drink unlike other plants, and if you water them right they grow like weeds.
I start adding cal mag once every few waterings when they are as big as yours just for gp.
I must reiterate that your light is a 100w well 115w board and you can run this at 100%
Check out this picture of my White truffle she is under twice the wattage 200w light and she is 8 inches from her light and not suffering from light burn, this pic is from a few days ago her buds are fattening nicely now
I run my 100w boards normally 12 to 15 inches above the canopy to keep them from stretching too much between nodes, but you can allow them to grow closer to the light without damaging.
As far as ph and the type of water I would have to defer to other people here, I water with tap water with all kinds of minerals and donāt ph and my plants love it is all I can say.
As s for as lst the only thing I do is top my plant to get a even canopy, but these are autos and I would just grow her without topping unless she doesnāt go into flower till you get to 9 sets of leafs or more, and you are at 5th set of leafs now.
Being your first grow I would not worry about anything besides getting a plant to harvest easy Peasy
I have killed one plant by over fertilizing my first grow but 24 grows and all have grown to harvest.
These plants are very forgiving if you water them right, and they are nutrient hungry
Anyway that is my take on the situation, you are doing fine, give her a good drink and watch her grow brother
