Njce to meet you all wish i found you earlier. Well I have been growing three plants sense may 9th 2025 outside and its august 26th now and they seem like they have been in preflower for a month. I will send pics. day light hours are at 13hr 36min now and i know you need 12/12 but season will be short for budding I heard august they should flower? I look at the weather report and mid october seems like the max before lots of rain. so the bud site pics didnt turn out good but i can retake them’

I will say she’s just showing maturity right now. She could definitely flip at anytime but I think you’re in the clear from budding right now. You will see a significant amount of pistols ( white hairs emerging ) a few normally just means she’s showing her sex.

If they’re also getting shade at a certain point in the day that could cause them to wanna flip also because they’re not getting the recommend amount of light in the day and she thinks her season is ending.

I would agree with what was said above. If you are worried about the rainy season coming you could set your tent up and put your lights on 12/12 to force flower. And your in soil pH read should be 6.2-6.6ph and ppm should be around but not very much above 1000ppm.

Not sure if you have one or not but can get a 5-1 pen to cover pH,ppm,EC… As long as you follow calibration and have the solution to do it you shouldn’t go wrong on that.

The mature ones are transitioning to the flowering stage. They can start this under 13ish hours of light and less. If the younger ones have not revealed their sexual maturity then they’ll continue to grow in the veg stage until they’re sexually mature :love_you_gesture:

Respectfully disagree Grow Bro, it would take darkness for the transition, outdoor plants are exposed to ambient light in the shade during daylight hours. :love_you_gesture:

But couldn’t it get stressed from inconsistent light over a period of time from being shaded ?

I’m no way experienced in all this especially with outdoor. I’m only indoor and got a few grows under my belt. I just read somewhere where it could be a possibility. Especially if it was in a certain area at one point receiving more light and then moved to another area where it’s the complete opposite and receiving slightly less ?

It’s still under some lighting…ambient. More dark hours are needed to signal the plant the season is changing and start producing her fruit. Interrupting this period light to dark can reveg the plant depending on the time period :love_you_gesture:

Something new learned :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:, appreciate the knowledge as always !

You are just about there. My outdoor photos usually start to flower somewhere between 13:35 hours of daylight to 14:00 hours of daylight. It is strain dependent. I have one strain that is in the 5th week of flower and two that are in the second week here in northeast ohio. We are at 13:22 today. I would not change what you are doing.

yes I agree about the not budding yet i had different plans the tent was for the younger crop you see and must get them in it soon. the older ones might be to big or the tent its 80 inches tall would have to set lights side ways LOL . eveually i am doing all future ones in the tent. will send pics of it its sweet. I might just have to fight mother nature this time . thanks for all your observations though let me know if you have more ideas’ i will keep you all in formed of there statis.

the hours are getting close though any time here. i wonder if its something i did or its just the environment i am in Hillsboro oregon

Good to meet all you guys!

Just a thought would you be able to get one of them popup greenhouses for your outside babies I would think would help reduce some things from happening not really sure as I don’t grow outside

That’s exactly what I did I start my grow out of a tent and then instantly went and bought a 2.3x2.3x5’ tent. I am able to get roughly 3 in there pushing it. Right now I have two girls going in there that are close to being done. My tent is completely filled with two plants haha.

I would bite the bullet and let them finish outside. They look great thus far I wouldn’t change a bit. I think she’s just showing maturity and letting you know hey you can flip me to flower whenever you want. As Dan said maybe a greenhouse for the time being. Help keep unwanted pest and unwanted weather on your girls.

That is a great Idea will do if it gets to rainy’ I checked amozon and for 100 $ there are some great 6’x8’ green houses Thanks alot! killer idea

Welcome to the neighborhood. You will like it here. Good people and lots of knowledge of all aspects of growing. Nice garden by the way. :victory_hand:t3::blush:

Good to get information Dan actually had a good idea about the tent so happy to pick up with you guys. Look forward to many more.
