Looking magnificent! In the next few days they’ll pop
Make sure to check on the stems too, not just the tops.
UPDATE I havent updated anything in a while but I wanted to update … My plants are doing pretty good I think or one is doing great and the other one is a little sick, not sure what is wrong but it is not too bad and it seems to be only effecting the lower part of plant i am thinking its my ph. The soil is at the high side of 7 the soil ph meter I am using is a very cheap one I think I need to buy a new one or a kit to test the soil … My water I use the ph is at 6 or ever 5.8 I am hoping if I have the water and feed at a lower level it will equal out the high soil ph. Is that right thing to do? Now my other one is doing great. Used the same soil for both plants ans use the same water and feed. They both are on day 13 of flower.
Looking awesome! Not seeing what you are seeing as far as ‘sick’, but if it is the lower leaves it sounds like the beginning of a deficiency you might want to address early, before it becomes an issue.
Adding a lower pH to help the soil adjust is good, but I don’t think you can do a ‘1 for 1’ trade. Meaning, if you want 6.5 but the soil is 7.0, you can’t just add 6.0 and it ‘maths’ itself out
I would go maybe 6.3 lowest and take it slow. You don’t want to send things into a tizzy.
A pic of a leaf you see issues on would help in determining a if there’s an issue and what it might be.
But 7 times out of 10 at this stage it is either N or P deficiency, or a cal-mag issue.
Best guess:
but maybe
But the thing causing the problem is most likely your pH not allowing those nutrients to be absorbed, so don’t just dump fertilizer in to fix a ‘deficiency’ if you have pH issues.

You can see that the high pH locks out the phosphorous, magnesium, copper, iron, and zinc.
Newbie opinion, I would flush with a cleaning agent (like Sledgehammer) then water with light nutes after you get the ppm down. But @garrigan62 is the non-newb on this @raustin has been helping out too and knows better than I do. I know theory ![]()
I think it the ph levels cause it is only one of the plants … I know my next grow I will have a better ph meter ans better soil money has been very tight and I had to use not so good soil I used what I had and what I could get here in town but next I will buy fox farms … But while it is growing I’m going to make my own soil … I just have to get everything that goes in it. The recipe ifound is
I just have to get this grow done with what I have it is there a better recipe for super soil?
Well, I tried a super-soil that I mixed myself, with the hopes of not needing to spend much on nutrients. After purchasing all the perfect ingredients I probably spent more $$$ than if I had just bought a good bag of soil and some nutrients. And I had more issues.
I may just go that way cause I’m sure everything needed is not cheap I dont know yet I just need to worry about what I have going now… And I have read that fox farm is pretty good to start with but no matter what way I go I will have to order everything or most , all we have here is Wal-Mart. And this store dont keep anything in stock
I just happened to be looking for info for you. The “Ocean Forest” soil tends to give people a lot of issues. I have pots now that are split with the FFOF on the bottom and this on top.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0792SBNVW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
$12 for a 12qt bag - which will fill a 3 gallon pot. So you would need 2 bags for a 5gallon. This is not as ‘hot’ as the FFOF, and it also has the mycorrhizae already in the soil - which FFOF doesn’t.
They also have a new “Lucky Dog” mix that I just bought. It seeps to have more perlite and a more even consistency (not chunky with twigs and bark) and it also has the myco’s . I am doing a side-by side on my 2 seedlings now in the 2 different soils.
Keep me informed on how it goes if you don’t mind. It will help me find what need
The one I linked is a good starting soil, and a guaranteed ph starting point that is within range. You would need to add nutrients, but you can find a cheap set that is specific for veg, flower, bloom, whatever. And always have cal-mag on hand, any brand, some have iron and that’s fine.
On my next grow that is what I will do I have to get more nutes before I start and was going to get it all at one time I’m going to try and get some better seed also the seed I’m using now is from some stuff I bought and was not great stuff but I’m hoping it will be better now cause won’t have seed and I have read that seed take away from how good it can be
I make my own soil and I don’t have any issue’s at all. You may have added to much of something and put it where it didn’t belong.
but it happend and we move on.
I"em starting a new thread and I will be using my own soil. i’ll be writing down what I am using and how much.
If you like I will tag you in.
Will
Thanks that be great
