I’m currently using a full spectrum 100w vivosun led grow light. As for nutrients and soil I’m using a basic potting mix soil with calmag. My buddy told me about some type of coconut husk he uses and he recommended I get vegetative and flowering nutrients I forget the name. As for auto or photo I am not sure I would say photo because I started it from an old seed I had lying around And I believe for it to be an auto flowers you have to purchase auto flower seeds if I’m not mistaken? Auto seeds need to be bred no? Correct me if I’m wrong

Ok so being a bag seed inwiuld assume its photo… yes you need to get a good set of nutes… most on here use jack 321 or fox farms

That’s the one my buddy suggested was fox farm. He said he has to flush his plants with strictly water a week or two in advance to harvesting. Said he didn’t do that last time and it he said the buds had a chemical taste to them so now flushes his plants before

Before flower you will want to double your light output. Figure around 200 watts of LED’s per plant.

FF makes decent nutes as does General Hydroponics. Jack’s seems to do everything the others do without worrying about flushing etc. It’s also much more cost effective than the other nutrient lines.

Coco coir is a neutral, nutrient free medium to grow plants in. It requires supplementing from start to finish. You will see increased growth in this medium.

A decent PH and TDS meter is almost essential to good growing. Soil probe type meters are worthless. Apera and Bluelab both make decent instruments. Costly but worth it.

Plant looks good so far!

Thank you for the tips . I most definitely need more lights I don’t feel this single light is enough even for what I am currently working with. Does any one have any feedback on vivosun ph and TDS meters? Just. Curious because I looked up the brands you recommended and vivosun instruments popped up as well just a bit cheaper. If they aren’t good though I would rather pay for quality then affordability

Welcome @Jdash860 . Looking good bud. It’s good to have a fellow grower to help you out. Is your friend on here as well?

I use the vivo sun ph and tds meter and they are good…

You do get what you pay for. I’ve not used the Vivosun meters myself. Whatever meter you get; be sure to get calibration and storage solutions. The PH meter has a ‘wet bulb’ that has to remain wet with the correct PH. Can’t use plain water. Normally TDS meters are pretty cheap.

I’ve got a Bluelab combo meter and it has held calibration for 4 years.

He is not, but he is being mentored from a fellow enthusiast out west and shares his new found knowledge with me when I have questions. I grew a few times as a kid outdoor indoors is a whole new ball game for me. It seems there are way more techniques and fun ways to experiment with indoors. I am doing a small grow I would eventually like to get a grow tent or build myself a decent size grow box myself inside

Question how much water should a new plant get? I have been doing a water bottle worth every 2 to three days depending and my two cotyledons are turning yellow am I under watering or over possibly?
