New grow with GDP feminized seeds 1st photo type plants

Hello,
Been here in the past and have started a new grow. Difference with this grow is I have two feminized GDP plants and am unfamiliar with photo plants as all my others have been auto flower.
The GDP seeds were gifted to me and are growing quite quick and great. I live in Upstate NY and of course it’s to cold out to start them outside so have started them inside with the other autos. 8 total in a 4x4x80 tent. Looking for help on when to transition the GDP to an outside location. I figured about May weather should be ok and plants would be approx 8-10 weeks old at that time. Seeds sprouted approx march 23rd (thru soil) so end of may would be 8 weeks and should be strong enough to handle weather if it gets cool at night. Plants are in 5gal cloth pots so plenty of room for root grow prior to transplant.
Just looking for any suggestions on transplanting how, when etc. Pics are of the plants, the GDP are left side (marked GDP). Thanks!!

I’m in PA on the boarder of upstate NY and I wouldn’t
Put it outside till the end of May, we have frost’s
A lot of times in the middle of May. My Japanese maple would bloom early we would get a frost and it would kill off the leaves

Thanks, I kind of figured around emphasized textthere but as you know around here weather does what it wants. By the way it’s already grown pretty sure it will be hearty enough by then . Would grow it in tent but everything I have seen it grows pretty big and I don’t think tent is big enough.

Just over 2 weeks and so far so good, getting ready to top the larger of the group

Wait for end of May/early June if your indoor setup can handle it. Not only because of frost, but you want make sure the daylight is long enough so they don’t flower and then reveg. Try to slowly adjust growlights to match sunrise/sunset times a few weeks before putting them out. I’m a few hours south and this is what I’ve done for the past few grows and it’s worked well.

Thanks, they are on 18 off 6 (6am-midnight on) as of now. They are about 3 weeks old now. Broke thru soil on march 22. The Grand daddy purple are growing like crazy, first photos I’ve grown. Just noticed yesterday the 9 fingers per leaf, never saw that before so looked it up, Sativa has 9 Indica has the normal 7 you see. Very interesting.
I am worried the 5 gal bags won’t be large enough to hold the roots until end of may, considering putting them in some 10gal bags I have. Had I known they were going to get this big so fast I would of just used the 10gal ones.

5 weeks now, Growing great. All have flowered except the GDP(they are photo not auto) hopping the 5 gal is big enough for root ball as can’t transplant outside for about another month as weather is still pretty cold. Thought about transplanting into 10gal but worried about to many transplants may be bad for the plant. Any thoughts? @Naturalmedsman @TOUGH-TONY127

Thanks they do look great lol and smell even better! Ok will leave in 5 gal until I transplant outside where they will go in ground. Had about enough of this cold and rain. Thanks for the help @TOUGH-TONY127 WHAT STRAIN IS THAT IN PIC? Looks awesome, great color!

They’re looking great! Agree with @TOUGH-TONY127 leave the autos since they’re already flowering. I find that the root growth slows down in the flowering stage. The photo you can transplant if it starts to get root bound.

Purple indica, yes cold and rainy here as well, my girls need to go out soon to, around here
Not till after May 15

Ok so I’m a little concerned about the GDP which are the Florescent green ones mainly the one in the back. Also this morning as you can see the tops are leaning over limp like, not sure if that’s just because lights just came on from being off all night and it hasnt quit woken up yet. It’s only the one in the back, one in front is nice and firm. I’m thinking the color is because of lack of nutrients? They are in soil, FF Ocean forest, has always been great soil but always grow autos, these are first Photo. Going to start adding FF Grow Big to see if that helps. Any thought or hints would be awesome. Thanks. @Naturalmedsman @TOUGH-TONY127 and anyone else you may know that could offer advise please send them over. Appreciate it!!
Almost forgot, will be 8 weeks as of the 22nd, no flowering on the GDP which I know is ok because I understand that doesn’t happen until about 9-10 weeks with Photo.

They’re definitely looking paler compared to the last photo. If you haven’t fed them yet you could try a little fertilizer and see how they react. FF Big grow doesn’t look like it would be powerful enough for nutrient burn.

Thanks, put some Grow Big in today so will see how that does. I mean still growing great just that color. They are about 36” now.

Ok so after only one feeding with Grow Big added to water there is a huge difference in color. Very very pleased with the Grow Big!! That difference is in two days, worked very fast. @Naturalmedsman @TOUGH-TONY127

I used the same soil and had the same results, I flushed the soil a couple times to cool it down. I added a little epsom salt to the water, and they turned out fine

Looking better! And those autos look real nice! I’ve never used ocean forest, but the coast of maine stongington soil I use is typically good for a couple months before more fertilizer is needed.

Weather is getting better. Hopefully you’ll be able to transplant outside soon. I’m waiting another 2 weeks before starting seeds to keep the plants on the smaller side. While I enjoy growing, I hate trimming!

Yeah I hate it as well takes forever hands cramp but it does smell awesome lol. Haven’t really decided to put outside kind of afraid of rain and wind, I live on Lake Ontario so we get pretty strong winds and rain. Considering just keeping inside but worry 5 gal pot is to small as they are already over 36” and haven’t flowered yet. Thinking of just transplanting into 10gal and keeping them inside. Growing great in the 5 but my first photos so unsure how to proceed ya know what I mean. Almost at height limit inside tent, can only raise lights about another 10” and not sure that’s enough room.
I can take them out of tent, room they are in is only used for growing so can grow outside of tent and gain an extra few feet in height. So many decisions lol.
And yes the Autos are doing awesome, best grow so far.
