What I will be having in my 5x5 tent is 1000 watt mh/hps light. I have circulating fan and a better in line fan. Right now I have 4 plants in 7 gallon fabric pots. Four plants are 2 Peyote Zkittles and 2 Gorilla Zkittles. Right now they are in week 2 veg. I have 4 other new ones waiting for transplant into 5x5 tent with the Zkittles. Ones waiting for transplant is Gorilla Glue auto this one will be in small pot so I don’t transplant it, 2 OG Gelatos and another Peyote Zkittles. (Don’t know which one yet but 2 of those strains will be in 5 gallon buckets and 1 in 6 gallon pot). All 8 plants are going to be horizontal. 3 best plants will be in middle of light. Planning on either vegging out the 4 strains that need to be transplanted today for 4 weeks maybe 6 weeks depends on growth. With the 4 plants in 5x5 tent now I will veg them out til 9 weeks maybe 10 weeks max then flip for flowering all together. I will be doing SCrog and lots of pruning. Also I figure I can put Gorilla Glue auto in back since it will be small and doesn’t need as much light.
Here’s a little more pics I took few minutes ago. I had accidently cracked a branch that was split off but had to give it support also didn’t have another 7 gal fabric pot so I just went with 10 gal pot figured she could fit in the front. I think I need to raise the first net up a little and start putting stakes in the ground to hold them up at a certain angle so everything will be maintained when it gets into flower and with some extra support with the 2nd net. There wilting cause there pots were kinda dry.
So I’m stuck on either putting stakes in to angle colas or tying string vertical connecting to cola to roof of tent… Don’t know which would be better. Trying to be able to spread plants out so there not touching. Any suggestions @Konflict?
Or you could use a second trellis net. If they are older plants, idk if id jam stakes into them
Okay. I got the second trellis up net right now. The have about 4 more weeks til I flip to flower. I’m hoping when they stretch in flower they will be easier to spread apart so no bud sites are touching other sites. I could go longer veg as what my fiance wants me to do so the peyote Zkittle in 10 gallon pot and CBD plant gets a little bit bigger but when I flip lights to start flowering it will kinda catch up on the rest of the plants right? @Konflict good news on my other tent both Blue Gelato and Bubba kush are showing amber triches but very very little and there both at week 6 flower.
Well Ladies & Gents I put all plants that were vegging to flower cycle yesterday with new holticulture super hps light. Man that thing is bright. Anyways majority plants wer 7 and half week of veg could of done 10 weeks on them easily but decided to flip lights. Only 2 plants that were young that got flipped to flower was 1 gorilla Zkittle in 10 gal pot she had 4 weeks of veg and CBD plant had 2 and half week veg. Kinda thought with the 10 gallon pot Zkittle will be fine small kinda and CBD plant too cause the other plants will compensate for the low week veg plants. Figured those 2 plants will get bigger since they stretch in flower. I will have pics up sometime today. Oh I forgot who had recommended me to using h.o.g.s sea kelp liquid from Canada but this stuff works soo good! Major difference in plants than not using it. Imo it’s better results than super thrive @Konflict @SKORPION @Skydiver

Kelp is the bomb.
Wanna save some money get some kelp meal and top dress it rather than paying for a bottle of liquid kelp etc.
you’ll wanna slowly acclimate them to the more powerful light so either hung higher or turned down at first and then ramp things up little by little so that in a week or so they are full power in flower.
I had used kelp meal with reammend kit for used soil this grow I wish I had some more to top dress but I out of it sadly… Won’t both used together help alot or overkill? I had already moved light up didn’t want the tops to burn or stress. Lower lights down a little after a week? This will get the plants used too the heat right? There’s a very very small chance that some might hermie cause when they were kinda preflowering outside due to no lights for 3 days had to move them outside and when lights turned back on I put them in veg for about 2 days then went ahead and flipped to flower. That shouldn’t put too much stress on them right? @Skydiver
It’s all about using the right amount within a range for nutrients. Can use both I suppose but I’d rather save money and wasted plastic and shipping etc etc by using the meals instead of premixed solutions where you could even make your own using the meal and water etc.
The dry meal will be slower acting while the solution will be quicker.
As far as lights yea slowly ramp up the power and or lower them or let plants grow up to them. Not only adjusting to the temps but also the amount of photons (light energy) they are getting as compared to your old light.
As far as the power outage I’m not sure as I’ve not has that issue or had one hermie on me. Only time will tell.

@Skydiver so I can’t decide whether chop the outside ladies outside or not because of tropical storm an heavy rain coming my way. Or atleast put blue Gelato in 3x3 to finish up and chop Bubba kush down? Trying to avoid bud rot and powder mildew.
I don’t know what would be best course of action.
Just be aware of the possibility of bringing plants inside from outside and also any critters with them.

she will be week 9 flower Tuesday. Last time I checked trichomes they were majority opaque slightly a few Amber’s. I had harvested Bubba Kush dried in 6 days had smoked and made edibles with some and hits just about right. The only thing bad about the Bubba Kush is that I only came out to 49.7 grams off of it… I really don’t know what I did wrong. The Blue Gelato buds are fatter than Bubba Kush when Bubba Kush was still growing. I grow in a 7 gal pot maybe that’s the cause of low yield? @Skydiver
7 gallon pots are fine and you can and will get nice yields from using that size container.

So many variable from genetics to training to lighting to nutrients used etc.
I’ve grown successfully in 3 gallon, 5, 7 and 45 gallon pots. Currently running a 1 gallon pot just put in flower and will run a 2 gallon pot once she gets established as just up potted clone about 3 days ago.
One of my largest single plant yields was an Auto grown in a 3 gallon pot that came in just over 8 ounces.
My first try they averages about 3 1/2 ounces per plant.
It’s a learning curve and the more time spend and money upgrading things the better you’ll get at the grow.
I did use a 600 watt hps bulb that I used for 3 grows maybe that’s it? Do you top more to get 8 oz? I also use roots organic flower and vegitative powder and make it into tea, sea kelp, molasses and I scrog and top. The Blue Gelato is way more fatter than the Bubba kush by the way @Skydiver
I have topped them but it’s not one of my things I always do.
The 8oz was a Jack Herer auto and I think I topped it but that was over a year and a bunch of plants later. I’ve also grown a Jack H and only got about 3 ounces…lol ya never know.
You’ll develop a style that fits you and your goals.
Been using HLG lights and PLC photo boost strip build and other than the 4x’ t5 fixtures and a couple smaller lights I use for clones and seedlings it’s all LED lights and I love them.
Also using far red Thera bulbs for sunrise/sunset and UVA/UVB bulbs middle of day for 3 hours. Red helps them go to sleep quicker and wake up and the UV stimulates terpenoids etc and fights powdery mildew etc.

Damn… Im hoping my 8 other plants will turn out good in other tent. Bulb that’s in there is 1000 watt hps horticulture the one that has 25% more red. I never had much luck on autoflowers always yield very small for some reason don’t know if it’s the strain I’m choosing or not. Oh I had just checked trichomes on Blue Gelato about 15 to 20 percent amber. Wondering if I should give it a week or two weeks more. There’s clusters of Ambers but others are white as sugar. Probably can’t tell much with this picture u taken on my phone close up. These pictures are more clear than loupe I have.
this one is the sac of bud site and in loupe and camera phone both show trichomes loaded with amber ones more than opaque ones
