I have the following questions in my current photo period grow. I am growing with self watering AC infinity bases with 5 gal fabric pots and coco perlite mix.
Question 1 - since I bottom water /Feed, how can I add periodic feeding including recharge or fish sh?$ ? I’ve read that in coco it is not necessary, and if you top feed periodically to prevent sludge in your bottom feed, you need to be concerned with disturbing salts in the pots.
Question 2, my plants are in week 6 of Flower without issues but I have a plant that is showing brown on the leaf edges, what type of issue or deficiency is this from?
I had the same question but went with it without asking. I’m on my 3rd plant in the same 5 gallon pot of soil. It’s the largest I’ve ever grown. I have only bottom watered and fed and have not encountered any issues with this latest grow using jacks 3-2-1 with the addition of hydroguard and silica. All I’ve done is changed the wick every plant change and I’ve had easy going results. I found the recharge and other additives I was using appears to have been unnecessary.
That’s my experience anyway, I’m sure someone else will have an actual answer for you.
I believe @OGIncognito may be able to help with this one. I’ve seen similar where the plants had a massive root network that was clogging the underside of the pots, but I couldn’t say this is the issue with yours.
Never top feed on a bottom wicking system and yes the fish and microbial feeding aren’t productive in coco. The one plant is showing some potassium deficiencies and commonly accompanied with calcium. What’s the reservoir PH and PPM numbers
