Ok so I’m leaning towards auto pots because from all reports that’s the least complicated way to get thru my first couple of cycles and trying different methods seems to be beneficial also.
By layout do you mean where my pots will be or the design of the room? The room is rectangular 4meters by 5meters with a door in the corner on one of the 5m walls. Intake and exhaust can be positioned wherever practical and although I don’t have a drain making one isn’t really an option for the floor but a pvc pipe can be run underneath where ever we put a tap and pumped into the drain to flush or reset and what have you. Ideally a bank of 3x3 seems to be the most practical however 9 spread out around the room with room to move between them all is also appealing
By layout I meant of the plants in the room similar to what pharmerbob provided. The exact positioning of the plants and all of your items and machines. For instance if you went for the hlg 260’s it would require that two plants be positioned right next to one another to utilize the 260’s footprint so for instance if you wanted to do that plus utilize the extra light photons that don’t fit into the 2’x4’ zone it would be best to place the plants in a 2 plant deep and 5 plant wide

maybe even space between the plant columns for walking and working if you are ok with being less efficient with lights, which is ok.
Or if you were to buy lights with a 2x2 footprint you could place them again right next to each other or spread them out a lot and give them a bunch of room to work with and with the singular fixture per plant, but with this in mind you could place them anywhere, they don’t have to be next to each other. Both are useful, just depends on how you wanna place them
Needing just 5 hlg 260’s for the initial 9 plants right?? 2 plants deep is fine with me. Actual physical layout can be adjusted as to recommendations essentially
