Hello Hello Hello my beautiful growing friends. This is officially my 3rd grow ever - that being said my first two grows never made it to harvest. My current grow (1 plant) has been my most successful.
Since this is uncharted territory for me, I was curious if I could get some tips. So far this plant has been in the flowering stage for ~5/6 weeks with a 12/12 cycle.
What I’m looking for is confirmation. My plan is to let this plant flower for another ~6 weeks. Is that OK to do? Is there such a thing as letting my plant flower for too long? What’s the average flowering period?
Additionally - since I am still new to this process - how does the coloring and look of the plant over all? Any help/tips are greatly appreciated!!!
Hello, looking good. I would not plan another 6 weeks of flowering, that plant will probably be ready to harvest in a few weeks at most. Most plants flower 8-10 weeks, some sativas can take a little longer but yours will be at peak in a couple/few weeks by the looks of it. Yes you can let a plant flower too long and miss the window of prime thc content. Need to look at the trichomes and harvest when most of the trich heads are cloudy with a few rare amber ones to get in that prime window.
Awesome - thank you very much for all of this information. I’ll keep an eye on the trichomes over the next 2/3 weeks. I do have a macro lens - so that should work just fine for this experiment.
