Hello everybody I need some veteran growers opinions on the state of my plants. If you notice anything that looks wrong with the plants please let me know. I think they are looking good but this is my first grow and I’m not 100% sure on what I’m looking at or what they are supposed to look like. The first picture is GSC Ext autoflower it’s 5 weeks since sprouting. The other 3 plants are Blueberry CBD and one Gold Leaf Feminized they are 4 weeks old since sprouting. The 3 feminized plants are in the grow tent. I’ve noticed some droopyness from them and some bad leaves which I will post as well. Thanks everybody for your advice and opinions!
Drooping around watering time or lights on/off is normal.
Your plant looks healthy. Don’t worry about the lower leaves. It is normal for a plant to shed them as it matures.
That’s good to hear. Thanks!
I am not fond of bucket planter. Bags breathe better, IMO.
I over water too often and need the quick dry action.
I grew older putting holes in free buckets, sadly.
If you are a first timer I will say two words that will scare you. But study up on both subjects. Since they are autos it will be too late to learn LST, but for the fem its not too late. But first they can use a light defoliation. Don’t go overboard just need good airflow. Next learn how LST, and top. It can be done with autos carefully! GL
What is light defoliation and LST?
They look good. A little bushy at bottom and inside. You said fem so i assume photo. If photo clean those girls up. A good prune. Veg some more. They will replace what you take and grow bigger fast. Looks like no air flowing inside which you want even in veg. Wont hurt them a bit to prune if not flipped to flower yet. Will help. Just my thoughts.
@Storm is on it, removing some of the extra leaves to help open the plant up and get some air.movement through it will help it grow healthier. The plants are starting to set flowers, so any big fan leaves that are.blocking light to the buds should go, along with the underside of your plants, any leaves touching grow medium, things like that. They look good and healthy, the defoliation will help.prevent future problems and help buds grow better.
Thank you!!
Thank you for the advice!!
Defoliation- what @Storm states above… the removal of leaves which provides more airflow throughout the plant. Lst- low stress training… a technique which involves tieing branches down or away from the center of the stalk which will allow more of each individual branch to receive more light. Many good posts can be obtained from searching lst in the search bar at the top of the page. Off to a great start and with the above tips the sky is the limit.

I lived on youtube before I decided to grow. I’m one of those let’s make it happen and fix it people. But not in a good way. I purposely messed up a few things so I could see and solve the problems. Which I did well, god it’s so easy to mess up. Lol But then I saw all the issue leading up to and now I can spot a problem as soon as it starts and fix it. Plenty of light and nute burn, hermiming because of heat, light stress! Lol but now I grow some great dense buds. You tube has great visuals and if tou watch enough videos you start to read between the lines and figure out your own truths. Then this forum helped with a lot of in the moment stuff. I will probably get flack for this but I hate SCROG I prefer LST as it allows me to continue to inspect and direct my grows better! GL keep studying!
If they get too dry they’ll show markings on the fan leaves just like in your pic.
And I have to ask if you’re watering to run off and then letting them dry.
It does look a bit too dry to me.
No I’m not I’m watering every other day, 1/4 gallon. Should I change my watering routine?
@waffledaycare Cannabis likes a wet to dry cycle.
If you’re not growing organic then a wet to dry cycle is preferred with a bit of runoff each time.
I’d up my watering / feed amount at least.
If using salt based ferts feed to good runoff and let dry. Usually 3-4 days.
Organic is a different game. It needs to be kept damp to keep the microbes happy.
Not sure which one ur using.
