Florida, you’re looking for help in my post. You should create a new thread with your questions. Probably get more help.
Dude, you have to understand that that is impossible.
I can tell you exactly what I see but not what the cause is without troubleshooting.
Your leaves are experiencing necrosis, that is what is wrong. What is the cause of the necrosis? It’s anyone’s guess and I promise that’s all it will be…a guess, no matter what they may tell you.
Your job is to eliminate things. For example: you said you already ruled out overwatering but let me ask you this, do you know the ph of your soil? Do you know the fertilizer concentration of your soil? Are you using tap or RO water? If tap, do you know the makeup of what’s in your water.
If you don’t know the answers to these questions and the people trying to give you diagnoses don’t know the answers to these questions, then I promise all the diagnoses are just guesses or lies.
Transplant those plants instead of continually asking what’s wrong from fifteen different screen names. Take one step at a time instead of changing everything at once. Your best bet is to take simple and logical steps one at a time to figure out your problem
Ty @Northerlit
Is thier any way u can tell me what’s wrong? I really need a pro’s help
Your plants need more love
More love can u go into more detail
Not really Floridabud, I’m on here looking for advice as well, I wouldn’t know unfortunately.
What you need to do is scroll up a few comments, tdubwilly tried to give you some tips. Also, you should think about creating your own post. You’d get way more help you need by reading how to create your first post in the sticky posts.
Okay @TDubWilly, @Myfriendis410 I think I’ve got the ladies sorted to some extent. After talking to you guys, and a botanicare guy I’ve learned that buy using coco/perlite/promix in the mixture I have it in I accidentally made a medium suited for straight up hydro using flood tables and daily feedings
After learning this, instead of letting the medium dry out (3-4 days) I’m watering/feeding every other day and they seem to responding very well they hardly droop and the “soil” ph is a bit steadier (6.3 a few hours after watering- 5.5 the morning prior to watering).
My question today is, how would I go about transplanting these from their current mixture to one of 70/30 promix/perlite? I’m worried about them being in their current mix then being surrounded by a promix shell, drying out quickly in the center and staying moist on the outer. Possibly requiring more food on the inside compared to the outside. Are these valid concerns I should have, or am I over thinking/worrying. Just do it, and hope for the best? I’ll grab a pic in a few to show the improvement.
Thanks again all for your time and patience with my ignorance
Mine was in 3gallon pots with pro mix as well. I used Coco and perlite when I transplanted to 7 gal air pots and treat it just like you would in coco. Seems to be working alright at this point. Mine where also clones with some serious deficiencies but looking good now!
Just an FYI hope that helps.
My ignorance is just as large as yours…I’ve never grown in coco
Nice @Jbum, so kinda the opposite.
I’m going from 2 to 5 gal, then moving them outside on the 21st, finally I’ll be putting them in 10 gal smartpots.
That’s ok @TDubWilly, thought I’d ask
What’s the general consensus on mainlining a clone, yeh or nah?
Transplant right into Promix. The PH between the two is rather closer together than is generally accepted and I find I PH both coco and Promix to around 5.9 to 6.0, as do others I respect. Promix is actually less able to hold water than coco so you won’t have any real concerns there. Waterlogging and damping off your plant in soilless media is more a matter of monitoring your watering habits against the pot size and the drip line of your canopy. (small plant in big pot = less frequent watering and when the plant matches the diameter of the pot it will be transpiring a LOT more moisture)
One of my friends grows really gucchi cannabis in coco as his preferred medium and he watered daily for the first couple of grows with no real ill effects.
You would want to use any coco or drain to waste hydro schedule when you feed. Use less cal mag.
That’s what I’d do.
Thanks for the info @Myfriendis410, I’ll transplant tomorrow then.
Alright today’s update:
Transplanted to 5 gal pots, and yes @Myfriendis410, @TDubWilly they did need to transfer to the bigger pot. They weren’t root bound yet but I was surprised to see that amount of roots in only a month. I probably should’ve transplanted last week but I didn’t realize. Anyway they’re in a bigger pot & my sweet ph/ppm meter came today. Looking forward to testing and dialing things in properly.
I do have a question for you guys though, how long should I wait after transplant to mainline these clones? I have a lot going in the schedule for these lady’s, I planned on doing it two weeks ago but the plants didn’t look good at that point. I plan on putting them outside on the 21st so they have the least amount of light loss (will harden them off prior) the 21st being 16 days away, I know there is a general rule of thumb to wait two weeks between stressors. Then finally I’ll be putting them in 10 gal smart pots for their final destination as well as horizontal netting for some lst.
Thoughts?
Your plants are big enough to start main lining now, however transplants can be mildly to highly stressful depending on how gentle the transplant was.
I would wait 3 or 4 days after transplant to let it adjust to the stress and let the roots anchor in a little and then I would start main lining
Assuming a gentle transplant I agree with TDub: 3 or 4 days to get settled. I’ve never mainlined so not much help there.
Thanks guys @Myfriendis410, @TDubWilly.
When I say mainline I mean top them down to around the same height. Not sure if that’s the correct terminology
Btw the meter works awesome @kellydans,
My well water is 7.8 ph with 184 ppm. Going to test a batch of feed with it tonight, what should I look for in terms of ppm with food?
I’m using GH flora trio with CALiMAGic btw
