@dbrn32 knows lights. The QB is the way to go and yes they cost more, but they pay for themselves over time. Can you grow your next yield with the lights you’ve got while you save for the QB. it’s up to you. Good luck to you.

With just five feet overhead, make sure you flip to 12/12 early or do some low-stress training to keep them low. Most strains double in height after you change to flower lighting. It’s a real bummer when your best colas grow too close to the light as high as you can get it.

i swapped from 400w HID to HLG QB and the QB’s r outdoing the HID’s.!!
Dbl Ended 1000w, COB, QB, and CMH r the best lights right now,
QB kits r the cheapest.!
single ended HID is a closse second,
Blurple, CFL, and Floro r sub-par lighting.!
If budget is your major concern, look into LEC fixtures. (Light Emitting Ceramic) @Hogmaster @Countryboyjvd1971 use them and they provide some cost savings over the QB kits

I actualy love my LEC fixture draws 630 watts at wall and said to be same light output as a 1000 w hps fixture
I also have a light mover in my flower room with the lec
I still veg under Chinese led fixtures in my veg room

@1BigFella that’s what happen last time they got to big and started to hit the light. It was my first grow in years. I’m gonna try scrogging. I’ve been reading some to see how easy it is. I grew four plants the last time in a smaller tent. This time I’d like to buy some seeds from here and maybe do two plants and use the net. I figure I have to top them early.
You can always super crop if you have too

Maybe you can look atreflector 960led, this light is very popular due to its affordable price and stable quality:
I think 315W draw power will be used. I saw UnitFarm grow bar looks great from Youtube growing video, it is not QB but also shows white light

Yeah I actually use both
Veg under led actually cobs that draw about 190 watts at wall and flower under 630 w LEC
