Hey anyone who’s assembled one of these kits. This is an HLG 260 XL and I only got two quantum boards? Shouldn’t there be 3 of them,ir do I put one on each end? Something doesn’t make sense ?@dbrn32?
There are no plastic spacers with it and the holes are predrilled for a quantum board. The light you posted isn’t the same one unless I’m mistaken. Why would the heatsink be 36 inches long for only 2 boards.I have 2 HLG 260’s and they are double boards on a 24 inch sink. The instructions show them right next to each other, which would leave 12 inches of blank space.Doesn’t make sense?
It’s actually the 360 XL. Should be 3 boards.
@Weedlover1 Put one board on each end of the heat sink. I have two 260 XL’s They will produce some solid buds.
Good luck
Well there ya go
Thanks man,Im waiting to hear from customer service, I would really like to have 3 boards on it If not I might have to buy another board for it or do like you said.Just seems like a waste of space, but it might be cooler? Thanks again!
The driver is sized for a 3 board load and your forward voltage may be too high which would damage your two boards. DO NOT INSTALL until you have talked to HLG.
Thanks for the warning,I never thought of that! I will tak to them MondayI’ll post whatever happens .
Thanks for the warning!
Looks like a 260 xl kit to to me. This kit comes with 3 board heatsink to increase spacing on the boards makiit ideal for 2x4 canopy. Should be spaced like Stonecold showed above.
Which driver was included? The 3 board kit was qb 320.
Im going to have to check it again to see for sure in the morning, lights are out in the basement right now ,plants in flower. I will post again in the morning after I check the driver.thanks @dbrn32
Man am I a dumba$$,it IS a 260 XL,I wrote 360 on the box.This is the driver,so I guees I’m good to go?
I agree, this should all work together well.
Thanks for the help,I always want to be sure when it comes to electricity!
