Need help with deciding if I should chop

Hi need some help making a good decision. I have some plants I’m growing but one looks like it’s ready. I have been flushing for the past week. She has very dense buds with a lot of weight. I wanted to know what you guys think Is she ready or does she need more time.

What kind of effect are you looking for? If youre wanting an uppity racey type feeling then youre within window maybe another week. I personally like just a touch of amber before harvesting. If youre looking for max THC then you want a nearly all cloudy trichome head. I would chexk back in another week. You could always do a selective harvest, try each trichome stage and pick which one you prefer.

Looks ready to me, particularly this shot, the other I can see they are either too close or too fat :muscle::muscle:

Any advice on drying and curing ? I have limited space and we are in a desert so it’s hot and the humidity will probably be non existent. I was thinking I can dry them in my closet keep everything dark. And then use I forget the name of the bag or I have mansion jars I could use with humidity packs placed inside with a humidifier reader.

I deal with.my arid climate with a full branch hang no fan leaf removal. In summer I have trouble getting over 45%. I stopped chasing it and adjusted to it. Just me. Depending on plant time late september to mid October is a typical harvest window. I believe you can go a bit more myself.

I agree that a couple of weeks wouldn’t hurt. Drying in paper bags or a cardboard box will also slow down/raise RH.

I agree with @Myfriendis410 you could go a bit longer. As far as dyring goes, Ive grown a crap load of good weed only to screw a lot of it up during the drying process and I mean a lot. Its still super stoney but it’s a bit harsh. Drying too fast at too high a temperature loses terpenes and also doesn’t give it time for chlorophyll to break down enough. It can leave you with hay smelling weed. Humidity at my house today was 12% high was 95° this year Im gonna buy a used 8x8 tent just for drying. Put a small ac unit and a big humidifier in it. I’m hoping for a 10 day drying time this year. Its also a good idea, specially if you’re growing outside, to wash your weed before hanging it to dry. Nice looking plants you got there @Doc25

TOO FAR.:sob::sob::sob: I MEANT TOO FAR NOT TOO FAT :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl: sorry @Doc25

Thank you for the advice I appreciate all of it. Definitely going as thinking the same I have a tent already. So I’m moving everything and I just had a look with a jewelers loop and had a friend that has been growing indoors and outdoors for over 30years and he said another week so this coming Monday it will all come down. And that’s actually just one plant that I grew by seed straight into the dirt. I have five others that are a lot bigger but they still need another 2 weeks. I appreciate all the help.
