Yesterday I noticed some yellow circles on a leaf. Today it is much worse. Is this a potassium
deficiency?

How about pics of the full plant, please.

If growing Hydro some additional questions:

-Distance of liquid below net pot (DWC)

-Amount of air to solution
On my Purple Punch from ILGM this is the way it starts. Then it gets very brown and crispy.
Soil grow with Fox Farms nutes. Tons of buds but the leaves from the bottom to mid way up the plant get like this. I have cut the lower leaves off. They looked like this:
I watered the other day with plain 5.9ph water. It doesn’t seem to be a lot of difference. From what I can see it looks like a potassium problem. The plant is 23 days into flower. Light 14 inches at full power for 18/6. MarsHydro TS 1000. 3X3 tent with one plant. I water by hand usually every three days with nutes and 5.7-6.0ph water.
Southern U.S. with temps in the tent 85 to 92 F (31 C) and humidity at 55%. Fan blowing 24 hours.
Thanks!
If in soil your ph is a bit low. Ph issues can lock out nutrient uptake. The soil can have all the food necessary but the ph will lock out uptake and you will see nutrient issues. Before overfeeding I personally would get my ph lined out then seek an issue on nutes if proper ph still shows defeciency. Just me. Shoot for a range between 6.2 and 6.8. 6.5 is a sweet spot.
I agree with @Storm What soil?
after mixing nutrients for soil I usually would aim for a pH of 6.3-6.5 in veg and 6.5-6.8 in flower and 6.8-7.0 by the end of flower.
pH effects nutrient availability to the pant, I’m sure you’ve seen graphs, if not…
There are several variations of this chart but they all are pretty much the same…
Thanks. Ill raise the Ph for the waterings and see what happens.
I would give her no nutes for a week and just good phed water. Just me. After a week i would slowly add back in your nutes. Most cannabis nute lines need almost nothing extra if used correctly.
I’m also curious about the PPMs in the run off ![]()
I do NOT miss checking that @Low
LOL me either!
Some yellowing and leaves dying is a natural process of the plant. But, if its spreading then you know theres a problem. If your ph is 5.9 and youre in flower, we need to get the number up a point as mentioned above. Theres a good chance youre in the beginning stages of lockout, but it can be fixed rather easy and your plants have plenty of time to recover. This type of yellowing is normal
Try adding some Cal-Mag or just some epsom salt to water.
I just top dress epsom. A couple tblspn usually covers my entire grow. I reuse soil and mag is 1 thing it is short on typically.
True that. Im cooking a batch of super soil right now and i doubled the epsom.
I have gotten yellow tips on the previous grows. The plant is “working” I have been told. These leaves get crispy and turn to powder when they crumble.
My PPM is out of range and has been for the previous grows. The Ph out is .8 less that going in.
I will up the Ph and just use plain water for the next two feedings.
Thanks for the help!
