Need help. First time grower

First time grower.
Now I have kept my plant mainly inside. But I been putting it outside for the sunlight rather than my LED. They are on a 18/6 light schedule But I been feeding her Gaia Green 3tbsp a gal of 4-4-4 and the soil is Mother Earth groundswell. And my water is well water.
2 or 3 gallon pot. And I water her when she’s about half finger dry. And water her until I get a minimal bit of runoff.
Inside temps are are running 70-74degrees and humidity temps I’m not aware of as I don’t have a meter for that yet It’s in my closet and I don’t have a tent atm. while outside here in Florida is 80-90 degrees and humidity in the 60or 70s lol.
But I have been having yellow popping up in my leafs for about a week now

What you see is normal leaf variegation. It’s perfectly healthy and and will cause no problems. Your plant looks great.

Thanks partner. I do plan on switching to Lotus nutrients. Because Gaia is hard to get here. And still been iffy about fox farm and GH. And I’m still trying to figure out a medium. Mother Earth groundswell is what they had at my local store

Do you have access to Jacks nutrients in your location? It’s a great product. Effective, easy to use, and fairly inexpensive. I would steer you away from FF nutes. The product is very salty and often causes pH problems. GH is a fine product as well. I’m not familiar with Lotus and rarely see growers using it.

I will have to look around and see. But yea FF is something I didt want to get into. And GH is something I see people use a lot. But lotus is new I believe. Just been seeing it around lately. And some people on forum are using it. So that’s pretty cool. But yea. Still learning the basics

The basics are where it’s at. Focus on the basics and everything else falls in line.

So far I can only find jacks online. I might have to hit some stores maybe. But same as lotus. I will have to order it but it’s cheaper than jacks and some people that are using it likes it better than the jacks. But gai is expensive and harder to get than all of them. I know GH I can get at a local store. Am I okay running with my medium that I have? I would like to move to coco coir cause I heard that coco peat is bad I guess?? But if I’m okay with this soil I can easily get that’s fine.

And I don’t know the strain to my plants. There not from seed banks or dispo. So that makes thing tricky. I don’t know how to get seed where I’m at… lol

I’m not familiar with your specific soil, but it’s important to keep in mind that a soil that is properly buffered for cannabis is important.

You will want 100% coco coir without the peat. Mixing peat with coco can create issues, as coco grows and peat grows are managed differently from a pH and watering perspective.

Are you growing bag seed?

Welcome to the community my friend. Plants look good congratulations. I would check into a ph meter for sure you don’t want a nutrient lock out.

I for sure will. Budget willl get me there eventually. Thank you.

If I go with a coco coir and with nutrients I should be okay? Perlite. Should I do worm castings or will my nutrients should cover for that? And yes bag seed unfortunately. But I’m staying lucky so far

Looking good.

It takes time to get the equipment we need. It’s definitely is expensive when we start. I had to improve my equipment over the first year and I’m not down yet. Good luck my friend

Hey there and welcome. To answer your questions from the other topic I do use a humidifier until my plants are big enough to make their own humidity. For ventilation I have 2 6" fans on dimmer switches. One intake from my house and one exhaust to outside. If you want to build a nice grow room the best way is over time. It has taken a few years to build mine and there are still a lot of upgrades I want to do. The best place to start is with a good light and some of the basic equipment like pots, PH and EC meter, thermometer/Hygrometer just to name a few things.

Are you running the unit in the room also ? I have one already in the room. And affordable lights.? Should I go with lights for like a 4x4? Or bigger like a 5x5. And I been seeing there about 300-400$. Is that my only choice. $ wise ? Just wondering. &. 2 fans. ? On each side of the room?
Where’s also good places to put the meters?

I do run an A/C. With all the lights I have running it gets too hot without it. I have intake down low in one corner and exhaust near the roof in the opposite corner. Thermometer and hygrometer should go at canopy height, but not touching any leaves. Ph and EC meters are pen like devices used to calibrate nutrient solution and intake water. Good lights are expensive and there is just no way around it. The 4x4’s I’m using now are mars hydro FC-E6500. I am starting to outgrow them at this point and wish I had went bigger. those cost a little less than $600. Sometimes you can get them on sale for $500ish. That would be the cheapest 4x4 I would recommend. You could spend more for high end lights, and it would pay off but I can understand having a budget.

AS big and TALL as you can fit.
Lighting, the same Best, big, good company service. (HLG).
You can always start small and improve as time and money permits.
The big issue, nobody talks about: “commitment”.
6-9 months home time, watching the grow.
Life and wife sure make grow difficult.
Then the 4-month dry-cure.
All decisions have consequences, most negatively affect growing.
Cheap lights cost more electricity.
Small tents are OK for clones, seedlings, or dry routine.
48x48x80 or expandable higher, awesome, will hold lights, fans, dehumid and 3-6 plants.
Good growing to you.

Luckily wife is on it with me. Trying to be self efficient. Trying to stop buying so much. But I’m turning a spare bedroom into grow room. So trying to find a light. All I have now for lights are the purple looking looking and there 600 watt
