pic shows 2 plants Girl Scout Cookie from same 5 seed bag. the wispy one shows balls should i cut down?

Thanks for the info. Was surprised thought seeds were feminized auto flower so wasn’t thinking male until too late.
I did a low stress training bend on both plants after 3 weeks I have read that could have pushed the plant to change.
It’s not a “change” (hermie.) Stress can cause a plant to hermie. Your plant is a full on male plant and it has nothing to do with whether the plant was stressed or not.
LST won’t cause a hermie. It isn’t stressful enough.
again thanks for the info. on to the next grow.
Good morning tamales welcome to the community. Sorry about the balls that sucks. Good luck with what ever you decide to do continue or scrap. Me I’d just finish the grow. Either way you will have to clean from top to bottom before next grow. Pollen has a way of getting into cracks.
I don’t think that plant is a male. Midwest Guy is an expert and I never disagree with what he says, but today I think its probably because the pics are not close enough.
There is a phenotype that shows up in autoflowers at time where the plant doesn’t make typical buds but just keeps stretching out and forming new calyxes with a few pistils. That’s what you have. It is female and has trichomes all over it so you can make edibles or extracts if you want. Even smoke it if you want a weaker stone. But I don’t think its male or hermie. I will post a similar plant that was posted some time back.
Here it is,
Good point. @tamales can you please post close ups? I see Spiney’s point given the post he pulled up with a sparsely populated female.
thanks for the responses. sorry it is already cut down and in the trash outside. i am going to let the other more normal plant complete and i will try. and yes i will clean both tent and room before next grow. still a lot to learn.
You wouldn’t have gotten much off it anyway even if female. The flowers were far too whispy.
i will harvest in a few weeks i will let you know if i find seeds.
@tamales , Just for future reference, flowers with pistils coming from them are female.
Also flowers with resin glands or trichomes on them are female. A male flower has a very different look. Here is a male flower.
And when they open they look like this…

But female flowers always have pistils coming out of them…
And yours had pistils all over…
If that was a male plant and with that degree of male flowers then your other plant wouldnt have any fresh pistils. It would be making seeds already. And the buds would look like this as seeds start to bust out of the skins of the flowers.

Aloha
Growing some blue dream Autoflower. Just over a month into a outdoor grow.
All but one of the girls look normal. But one has very odd brown, short pistols
Any idea what is causing this? Pictures are of normal plant and the one in question
Welcome to the forum.
Early browning of pistils may be a sign of issues. It may or may not be a problem. Let’s get some more information from you and go from there.
