Need expert advise for next stage

My girls are 54 days old; I trimmed them, and tonight, I’ll start them with nutrients for blooming plus BigBud to give a kick to the blooms. I am not sure about the light; it’s still at 75%, should i put it at 100% power? I would need to raise the height.

How about an overall picture of the plant?

Is this a photo or auto?

Before they were like this, pruned them not trimmed but you understand

All together I have a 120w quantum board and a 300w omega (working at 75%) infinity next to one another, I know they are really not much for 5 plants but I i am counting on the reflective walls of the tent

Plants look great. Need about 200 watts per plant to grow some nugs to their capacity

So it was silly to even keep the 300w a 75% capacity? The zDLI reading were always good

I am in London and it’s after 1am, going to sleep any replies ill.check them in the mornings
Thanks

No not silly your plants will give you a nice harvest. Vegging plants don’t take as much light. My first grow was super silver haze and I used a t5 light for most of the grow. When I could afford better I purchased two 680w lights for a 4x8 tent. The more light the better in flowering. If your 75% when your plants get to the flowering stage you can go 100%. Just watch for light burn. In flowering you need 60-80 watts per square foot. So it depends on the size of your plant. Your plants look very healthy at this point.

Thank you, that’s very nice of you; so, is this still the veggie stage?
Because I switched the nutrients for the blooming stage and also gave them an extra booster designed for better bloomin

Morning AC! Im just across the pond from ya! If your plants are photos they will stay in veg until you change the light schedule to 12 hours on and 12 hours off. They are very ready for that

Hello @Dinky, thank you and greetings to you too.
They have been on a 12 12 from the 17 of September

So the question raises itself: “Why the fuck you are asking if they are still on the veggie stage when you know they are at a 12 12??”:sweat_smile::sweat_smile: I just thought about it, and I think maybe I am getting confused in regard of what they call “the length of flowering” which starts the moment the 12 12 cycle starts? So if a strain says flowering 64 days" it’s from the moment they switch to flowering

Give them another week or two and you’ll have nice buttons everywhere.

That is a very debatable question. Some people count from the form of pistols and some from the day of flip.

Try to hold off on anymore pruning for a little while, typically most folk will prune on day 21 of flower as you’ll find she’s gonna shoot out a few more leaves and stretch.

Have you got much space left between the plants canopy and your lights? You might want to think about bending some of the higher branches over some, as they will begin to stretch a lot very soon

My ex, but we r friends, and he doesn’t live close he was all “got to prune them lower buds wont get enought light” so i did, i’ll hold off the pruning now and ill bend the tallest branches, then i turn the 300w to full power?

You wrote it wrong or you just called them “pistols”?:grinning::smile: editing: they do also called them pistols, my bad, humble apologies :grin:

Again another very debatable topic :joy: one thing we can all agree on is that pruning is necessary to maintain a good airflow through your plant, to help with humidity and control of mould. For now, if you feel like those things are covered I would hold off.

Careful with the bending, you have mature branches and bending, or LST, is usually done much earlier. Start with just a 20 degree bend until you get the feel of it. Theycan tolerate a lot, but push to far and you’ll tear the branch off the stem

If that’s a 3 x 3 grow space a minimum of 300 watts would be need to cover the complete footprint. 35-50 watts of quality lighting per sqft would be ideal :love_you_gesture:

They’ll go through a 2 week transition period and hit the flowering stretch. Be prepared they’ll double in size :love_you_gesture:

Want to clarify this.

  1. What breeders post on their seeds is for a typical commercial grow.
You can use it as an average but home growers will typically flower longer than stated.
  2. Flowering begins when there are budlets or buttons or hedgehogs, whatever you want to call em and from your first pics posted, whenever those were taken, I would consider that “In Flower” and start counting now if you count weeks in flower.
  3. Just because we switch the light to 12/12, that does not start flower as sometimes, she is not mature yet. Maturity comes with seeing pistils at the nodes. If a plant is not mature when we flip, it can take up to 3 weeks for the change to trigger her to think she needs to do what nature intended. If she is mature, I see buttons within the first 2 weeks after the flip.

Hope this helps.
