My friend would like to know what to use to clean up the grow room. His got contaminated with a male and ended up with seed’s in his female plants. What can be used to clean it out for his next grow. RDG1951
If it was me I would mix 1 part isopropyl alcohol 3 parts water and spray and wipe sray and wipe spray and wipe . After a extra good vacuum of all the cracks and seams . Even the vacuum can spread pollen to the room the tent is in and cause problems if I understand it correctly. Hopefully someone will jump in who knows for sure but this is at least what I have used for pest infestation and it will at least clean and sanitize the tent good luck
Bleach will do it without a doubt. 2.6% bleach diluted 1 for 4 parts (ex: 1/4 cup of bleach in 1 cups of cold water, to not use hot water to avoïd evaporation of the chlorine)

Okay thanks Al This is kind of off the subject but my older brother said that you can tell if a plant is female or male by the way the leaves come out. He said if the leaves are offset then they are male. You ever hear of this? Chromie
Never heard about this, the only accurate way to identify sex in the cannabis plant is by male or female pre-flowering , pollen sac or calyx and pistils , the pollen sac is more round without pistils for male pre-flowering, oval for the calyx with pistils for the female pre-flowering. Genetic analysis is the other way that I know that will be accurate.
All other method are uncertain, anecdotic or folkloric, no hard feeling to your older brother and I don’t mean to be disrespectful, Chromie

When I have to clean a tent, I have a strong ventilation system taking all the dust and air outside the area. Vacuuming should be done with the unit outside the tent and only put the nozzle inside the tent.
I used a hospital disinfectant that I got while I was working. It leaves a heavy smell immediately but wears off fast. Bleach works well also but make sure you wear gloves and a face shield or glasses. That stuff doesn’t react well with the eyes !

Everything I have seen says that wet pollen is dead pollen. Couldn’t you just spray distilled water and deactivate any pollen in there? It isnt infected, just rogue pollen…
