Would a 1000w full spectrum led light system be efficient for growing 3-4 plants at a time or would it be a good idea to go with one or two 1000w hps/ms lighting setup ?

I’m running 1 solid 300w diy led light in veg its awesome in flower I have 1 300w 1 150w diy led light appears to be great for 4x4

You can’t really compare the two lights. The first one likely is only around 250 watts actual compared to the MH/HPS which is a true 1,000 watts.
What @anon46981397 is pointing out is newer high end LED’s blow everything else away and keep getting better.

We would need more info on the LED you are referring to to give you any accurate information. Unfortunately there is ALOT of misinformation online when it comes to LED’s for growing. I’m not the expert here but I’m sure you can get the answer you are looking for.

no, it would not,
do not buy the amazon blurple LED’s or COB’s, they r a waste of money.!!
a 1000w HID would be superior over the Blurple LED.!
if u want to save money in the long haul, look into HLG Quantum Boards.!!
the HLG 260w XL QB is great for a 2x4’ area for 2 good sized plants,
2 would fit in a 4x4 tent real nice.!!

I went with 1 1000w hps/ms light and have it hung about 31/2 ft away from my plants and it seems like in just 48 hrs they look 10x healthier

i m wrong too many times in life and at ILGM to be called sharp.! lol
i m old and poor, i have tried many ‘cheap’ things,
95+% of the time they end up costing more then the good chit would have cost and it was 3 times harder to use, which u only learn after u get the good chit.! (CFL’s, cheap filters, cheap ‘soil’…)
it was tuff for me to retire the 2x 400w HID’s, but…
i did serious math and internet research before purchasing my QB’s.!
if they last 5 yrs they will have saved me a few to several hundred dollars.!
this is elect., bulbs, cooling, and cost of fixtures.

I went through amazon but I bought a Vivosun hps/ms light as with everything a lot of bad reviews but I went to their actual website and did comparisons against other lights and the information convinced me to go with the vivosun
