LED Lights 1000w Full Spectrum

I was looking for some expert advice about using LED lights. I have set up a small grow room in a spare closet roughly 4’x4’x8’ high. Below is the link for the light I have purchased and would like to know if this will give good results for a plant or two? Or am I just wasting my time? Thanks for any and all input!

You will get better results with something else! That light is only a 180w light!
Check out HLG 260W, 2 of those will do great. I know they are a lot more expensive, but you could get one to veg and maybe another before flowering starts. The light you linked above might do decent job thru veg. but still not real good. Let the Pros tell you something definitive before you purchase! These folks are right. That light is very weak and you could really only grow 1 plant with it.

The suggestion of 2 HLG 260s is a good one.

It’ll grow weed, but you could do so much better.

Depends on what you want to get out of your grow, Just playing around and want to see if you can keep a plant or 2 alive, then yes that light is fine for that purpose. Want to grow enough weed that you and a few friends will never have to buy weed again. then you’ll want a better light. Take a look at HLG lights as others have mentioned.

You use HLG lights? I have two 4k. I like them for veg. I have a 600w and 1000w. Are they really that much better? I see a lot of other leds also.

I see some on sale for 250. The HLG’s. 2x4. I see a lot of other competitors also but looks like the same product that’s a little cheaper

@Hellraiser and big @BigHuff2316 how about this light. image How do you fell about the old school lights? I’m not having a heat problem. I’m tired of spending on something I don’t really need.

What’s in there is cooking mode. Not much worth trimming. I just went through it. It was from four plants. That got seeds in it. I was told today that the ones I killed would have been fine. Because I never flipped them. It still doesn’t matter. Better to be safe than sorry. @BigHuff2316 I do believe it came in my window. I think the guy next door had some out side. I could smell it. The day I turned the attic fan on I was feeling like it was a mistake because I could smell it. I never seen any flowers I never seen any bananas I just rushed and panicked. I probably could’ve saved everything I had would’ve been fine. But damn taking a chance

I just don’t know about those light but bad things. Not all 100%. I you know what I mean. I see that they have a new line out. They are trying to compete with HLG’s. That’s what I have read. I’ve also seen where they have a new line of products they have changed from last year. I’m thinking of going with 4 HLG. 2x2 flower mode. The 4ks I have will veg a large space. I would say 3.5x 3.5 if not to tall of a plant. I’m just not liking the par readings of one big board. I could understand if I had a 10x10 with many lights. I have a yield lab 2 hood 4in that I run a 1000w that I love.

I have seen one light for a 3x3. Like the small Mars Hydro, HLG and Spider Farm rage for a 150 that work great. You just have to always remember how big your plant is and how bushy it is. To work with any grow. You don’t need a plant to struggle without light. Or you can train your plants to grow with what you have. I’m starting to find out that less is better.

I think the others are providing solid feedback. This light is too small to flower a 4x4 by all documented standards. I think in the listing they said it will cover 2.5’x2.5’, which is probably stretching the lights capabilities some too.

How about this set up? Will it be to much for a small closet with 2 or 3 plants?
Thanks for the advice! Much appreciated.

If you’re going to go with hps a 600 is big enough for a 4x4. I would highly suggest going with an air cooled hood though instead of the batwing reflector. That would allow you to duct your exhaust fan through the light and remove a lot of the heat from bulb.
