You need a jewelers loupe to be able to look at the trichromes under strong magnification to assess maturity. It cannot be done by the naked eye. The amber pistils are often mistaken for maturity.

How cold? Because light frosts can actually be beneficial and stress the plant, which can produce more resin and complex terps!!

Where do you live? Looks like plants have cover overhead?

Open top cold like 39 40 degrees in the midwest but have brought them inside i figure maybe until im a little further before risking it. I read it can bring the purple out?

Jacks 321…part A, B and purchase the Epsom separately it’ll save you a few bucks :love_you_gesture:

Oh, your fine, let em’ ride, and yes it can bring out some awesome colors. Mine have been out in colder with no problem.

If you are considering jacks, just know it isn’t organic if that’s something your trying to stay with.

You also don’t need epsom.

You can do part a and part b. Part a 4g/gallon Part b 2g/ gallon.

I don’t know enough about organic to make decent suggestions that’ll be readily available. Lot of organic products are slowly released/broken down.

Check out Neptune’s Harvest products. I use their liquid bottle nutes on my grow and they’re organic.

3 tbsp of the green bottle and 1 tbsp of the other two mix in a gallon of water. You can top dress with Dr.Earth’s flower girl

Jacks is recommended then. My last 25 lb bags lasted me nearly 2 years running a lot plants with heavy run off, and a lot of wasted nutrients. lol. Part B I still have from the first bag going on 3 years I think.

Do you mix a and b

You first mix part a with water and dissolve completely, once that’s done then you mix in part b. If part a isn’t completely dissolved before adding b it will alter the chemical composition and will void the batch. I think it basically turns into gypsum, which will turn the mixture to milky looking solution if done wrong. It dissolves pretty easily though. So I wouldn’t be concerned with that part. Once mixed you then pH and you are good to go.

It’s all done by weight so a small scale is needed, and it’s the same feed front to back, so it’s very easy.
