Mylar, white painted cardboard etc

Does this really help to spread lighting? Am I at a disadvatage with a plain open grow room?

Yes. If you have photons escaping canopy you should try to redirect when possible. Nothing is 100% efficient at reflection but it’s significantly better than allowing photons off canopy.

I started with mylar, but ive swapped to a glossy white board and it seems like its works better than the mylar.

I think a lot of tent makers are going to start switching to white instead of reflective like they are now. Or at least offer the option. There is a nice brand in the EU that only uses white and it makes for a much better reflector.

I ordered a $6 pack of 5 thermal blankets. Just taped to the walls of my closet. Don’t even clean it. Just pull it down and tape a new one or two up.

That’s exactly what I’m using. We used to call em space blankets.

Shoot it works! I have a 3’x3.5’ closet I grow in. I kept the liner to my old 32"x32" tent and have that on the floor. Lined the walls and door. Could probably tighten it up a little, but it works pretty well

I have always wanted to have mirror walls in the grow room, so it reflects everything and looks like a fun house and huge field of cannibis :evergreen_tree::evergreen_tree::evergreen_tree:

I have read mirrors create hot spots on the plants. Flat white is what I reed is best. Would look like a lot more plants with mirrors though.
