If I drop it all into bubble hash, spreed it onto cookie sheets and then store it in a freezer, think I can keep it longer?

Dry it and freeze it. It’ll last a long time. More if vac sealed.

Thanks Grimman, hardly anything for work though. Maybe two mins a day if that. Truth be told I skipped a few in between. I added a 1/5 th of the 321 mix every week so maybe 8 minutes in a week:joy:

Well I cut it down yesterday! Took 4 hours to take down the two plants, lots of learning that I can apply here.
- I would defoliate for sure next time! So much time lost to small bud. And the back one was a huge bush!! I honestly threw out about 1/3 of popcorn from the front plant and half the over all bud on the second cause I was just tired and running out juice./room. (Rather a shame but 25% of the second plant went straight into the lawn bag with only the top bug cut off.) we have way more harvest than I can use though…
Defoliating seems like it would make harvest cleaner and the buds central, stems would be easer to knock down too.
@Low or @Grimman78 any recommendations you can make on how to approach a clean and safe defoliation would be welcome.
- I need better odour control. They were so strong when I started. Had to ditch the two bags of cuttings later in the evening. The house was giving off smell through the neighborhood like crazy! Still venting it Bentley through the day - it was crazy!
Even with the carbon filter, it’ was pretty bad. Anyone got good ideas?
- one of the unused pts developed mold in the pebbles and I had not noticed. Thankfully it did not transfer to the water or plants - I will not fill the pots if they are unused next time. I will simply buy extra lids with out cut outs.
Still a bit to clean up this evening. Need to pull the stumps and chuck em.
Will share a dry weight when they get there. All in all a super fun grow. Just need to refine a bit of the work!

Defoliation I do in stages. I also struggle with how much to take and when. I have been taking most
of what I think about a week before I flip to flower. Anything smaller and facing towards the center of the plant goes. A lot of what I’ve read on this forum is don’t take more than 20% in one go. The fan leaves I trim here and there as flower progresses. Same with the little popcorn buds that form. If it isn’t getting light it’s gone.
@Low is a lot more seasoned than I am.

Usually I defoliate throughout the whole grow. But do 2-3 large defoliations per grow. One of those things you gotta learn through practice.

I pluck a few each time I water. Less stress to pluck a few at a time then take a chit ton on a certain week(s). You develop an eye for what needs to go, and what’s not gonna make it to the top; so it needs to have its energy redirected.

Any advice on odour removal? The smell of these two girls was insanity. Pretty sure folks in Chicago could tell.
The buds have been hanging for 24 hours an there are still huge bursts of sent coming from the tent….

Not many good solutions. Multiple carbon filters, chemical like ona gel, and then ozone. ozone comes with its own set of challenges and safety procedures. Chemicals smell like your hiding something/don’t last long, and multiple carbon filters/fans add up in cost and not guaranteed to hide it all.
I usually run 3-4 carbon filters, and use chemicals… sucks.

I don’t use any scrubbers for smell. It’s legal here, it’s at my buddies house, and he doesn’t care. The few times I grew back in the day I used charcoal filters. One of my buddies used to bake banana bread and cookies all the time to mask the smell.

Not sure what to add to the above recommendations. Keep your temps cold to keep the terp evaporation levels down. If the volatile terps aren’t evaporating off, then you don’t smell it as much.

Look good man. Are they an Auto or photo? If auto I have no idea. @CUMMINGS0420 it’s best just to start your own little page/journal and tag people. I will assist you the best I can and there are many many others with more experience than I that will do the same.
