My risky 4 buck chuck grow (Future forest, or will it be dead wood?)

The leaves on these are huge! One blade covers all of my fingers. The last strains I ran were half as large. Here hoping the colas are just as large!

Ok so I held off on telling part of the tale here, cause I didn’t want to cause a ton of judgement…. But I haven’t been feeding much in the way of nutrients yet, and I have not done a water change.

I started it with enough jacks 321 for 20 gallons with 60 gallons in the system. 2 weeks in I added another 10 gallons worth and then on Sunday I added another 20 gallons worth… they seem to be going really strong…. Think things will hold out?:joy::blush: the water has a high TDS so I figure they are pulling a lot of that out. (Higher mag/cal content).

I’d do a complete change out, but that’s me. I change my reservoir every 7 days. I don’t run the same kinda system you do though.

Latest update. Accidentally fell on the back one and broke a big stem off. Can tell though it filled in days later.

Might flip soon, not really sure, so lazy about this grow…:joy:

Checkout the size of the leafs on this girl

They are bigger than my head

Nothing wrong with a lazy man’s grow. They are looking great!

Can I grab some opinions?

I have had a few rain day that drove up the ambient humidity while dropping the over all temp temp went to 65 and the humidity went to 80%.

Have a small amount of crisping on one or two leaves but just on the one plant that is under the fan. Had not noticed above the temp there is an AC duct meaning the temp is cooler on the surface of the tent intermittently. Not an issue until this random rain day ( think ultra grey, full down pour for 24 hours with water piling in the streets).

It did mean that angle of the tent piled up condensation about about 4 feet up, creating a cooler zone.

My thought is it’s the temp shift and it’s minimal, again just in the one area. What’s your take? @Grimman78 , @PogueMahon , @2GreenThumbs , @DEEPDIVERDAVE .

Here is the pic of the unaffected girl.

Here is the one at the back that was a bit colder.

Leaf in the front near the bottom.

I am going to flip today. Added two gallons of water. Ph is 6.5 light is running 70%. Temp is back a 75 and the humidity is around 60%.

In my opinion I wouldn’t worry about it at all. Unless you’re willing to commit a ton of money to make the environment perfect you will run into issues with temp and humidity. I wouldn’t worry about it. Cannabis is a pretty resilient and hardy plant.

I wanna see if I can save one of the leaves off the front girl and press it under air tight glass. The one on the back is 17 inches long and almost as wide… it would cover the top half of a basket ball, :joy::smile:

Very nice grow. I love an old bubbler. They are some thick girls. Gonna tag along.

Had a look at your grow, pretty impressive!

Thank you Sir. I try my best not to kill’em till I need to…lol

I see ya chatting about your plants. I think your gonna get some die off naturally with a plant that thick. Thick lush growth is impressive but it blocks a lot of light below. These look to be riding high on some N. Nada thing wrong with that. Great looking grow.

Hey do I need to flush at the tail end of the grow?

Depends on what nutrient line you are using. I know GH stuff requires flushing. I think I’ve read on here people that use fox farms stuff flush as well. I just started using Jack’s last round and that does not require a flush.

Using Jacks 321 formula.

No you do not have to flush. That’s one of the reasons I made the switch to Jack’s.

Well one week into the flip and they have grown about 2.5 inchs.

What do ya think the crop will do?

Kinda cool to see the hydro side of jacks. They look great.

Seems to be the right stuff. Low effort high yield. With my water hardness I am only using an 1/4 of the recommended stuff. Knew it would be cheaper, but man I was not expecting that little for hydro😂.

I use the Classic 202020, bloom 103020, calcium nitrate, and Epsom w tap water. Medium is promix HP myco.
I feed them the same from seedling to harvest. Only thing that changes is veg to flower formula. I meter nothing. I mix and water. The promix and jacks buffer my ph.

I’ve been scolded by many for the way I do things but ya can’t deny results and last grow I pulled in 3.5lbs of bud built by Jack’s indoors…lol It was difficult to force myself to not meter anything but I stuck with it. I’m an old gardener. I’ve grown a few things. I know a good method when I find it and I have.

I tried to jump back into bubblers when I got legal. Couldn’t control the res temps without a chiller so I abandoned the grow. Went with Jack’s n peat and never turned back. It’s paid off big time.

Hard water here as well @Puddlehead. I think mine is about 250ish out of the tap. Good ole MN water.
