I’m reading down the thread so this may be addressed down the line but if this is your pH for your soil, that’s low. Soil pH should be between 6.0 and 7.0. Water or water/feed going in should be 6.3 to 6.8, best to be around 6.5. - As shown in the PH Guide below posted from @Zudnik

Since she’s an auto, I’d run that light 24/7, imo, give her as many rays as possible I’m thinking that light doesn’t put out enough PPFD to put her over her DLI for her stage of growth, but check it against the DLI chart to be sure. Just a thought. ![]()
Sorry not updated in a bit. WX coming has had me down bad. Had the ol lady taking care of her and getting pics. I had a cam in there but it slid down and no Pic now.
I’ll prob keep it at 18/6, that was a typo on the 12/12. My bad.
It’s def looking pretty good for my first tent grow and the size of it.
I’ve got another but got to get healthy enough to get it together.
Will do it by the time i harvest this one, i hope.
Here’s today’s Pic, any comments are welcome.
I have trimmed some fan leaves that were in the way, left the bottom for photosynthesis. No idea if needed there but i left them.
For a crappy tent and light, this auto likes it.
Hope you all have been well!!!
What week are you at with this girl? Looking like upper leaves are getting a little yellow, is why i ask unless it’s the lighting. And are you using any nutes on this grow? If so what kind and amount is useful also what kind of soil? FF,gia green, coast of main. And light watts rule of thumb 30-40 watts per sq ft so a 2x2 is 4 sqft so 35watts x 4 = 140 watts at least this is what I’ve been doing , plant is looking good so far might need to tweek a few things is all ![]()

ohh and definitely make sure your water ph is at 6.2-6.8 in that range or will cause a lockout ( plant not able to take up nutrients)
I’m close to 6 weeks, not quiet yet.
Prob gave it too much water with the nutes. I told her just a little bit i think it was too much as I’m not able to get out there let alone pick up the water can.
Using fox farm big bloom or similar, it’s out there or I’d tell you for sure.
Hopefully she’ll balance out soon. I’ll make sure she only gets water for a while.
Thank you for noticing and the tips, i think you’re spot on with that.
I’ll get out there soon as i can and check it. Guess I’ll be breaking out the ol walker. Oh well, it is what it is.
The light is pretty weak, i can only raise it a tiny bit more. I’ll try the just water for a while first and get my cam set back up so i can watch it.
You can only do so much
no worries these girl’s are super resilient so it’ll still be fine
. With auto’s you unfortunately gotta stay on them as they are on a time schedule , but ive limped several auto’s to the finish line so not a super big deal just wanted to bring it up . Could be lighting to close but could also be ph issue could also be just needs a little more nitrogen . part of this hobby includes trouble shooting ![]()
and my plant reading skills still need work
I do appreciate it for sure. She just fertilized them yesterday so that could be the problem. Once i get out there, I’ll do some trouble shooting or try.
I appreciate you bringing it up, def helps me out for sure!
Fox farms nutes are a little hot usually for auto’s so what most do is 1/4 strength of what they recommend and see how plant reacts first. I tried ff nutes myself and ended up switching to jacks 321 was much more forgiving
just something to keep in mind , stay lit my friend ![]()
Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind when i can get some. I’ll return the other.
I talked to her, she said she had to mix a new gallon but said she barely put any in. She prob did put barely any but gotta be precise.
As strong as that stuff is, a little to her was prob too much. Oh well she don’t smoke but still helps me out.
I’ll get her flushed with some water and hope she survives.
Gonna take what she mixed and make a cpl gallons.
It’ll all be good like i said
i just want to get you the info that’ll help ya learn along the way , many others here have helped me along the way and always learning something new every day ![]()
Finally honored out to the tent to try to figure out what’s wrong.
I did a little bit of rearranging with the exhaust so i could move the light up.
It’s only a cpl inches if that from the top.
I’m afraid i burnt the top with the lights and nutes together. Mainly cause tonight it looked worse.
Shit. It was going so well… compared to the last Pic it’s wilted some.
I hope she pulls thru this.
Gonna try with the help of my ol lady to get the other tent up and running and screw that little pos!!!
May take longer than a day to get it together, bad wx headed this way and I’m barely moving.
My sick little girl… ![]()
Good luck chief, she is definitely getting a bit too much light on the main cola but the others look great. Earlier training helps keep the canopy even but that’s to learn for next time.
Perhaps you could tie the main cola down towards your air vent to give it a bit more space away from the light but with 2-5ish weeks to harvest idk how that effects things, could boost the secondary colas bud production or it could just be unnecessary stress at this stage.
Unfortunately this is supposed to be one hell of a winter so stay warm my friend.
I looked up the Jack’s 321, i only see a hydroponic kind?
Can you use it on reg watering?
If so, how hard is it to mix a gal? Or 5 gal?
Need to get another 5 gal bucket for water.
Sorry for the questions, just checking into it.
I’m pretty sure that was a light burn as it was almost touching the bottom of the light.
I raised the light almost all the way it could go which wasn’t very much but it’s off the plant now.
Just hope it’s strong enough to get the lower ones.
Guess I’ll just keep an eye on it and go from there.
So long as the soil is depleted then you should be able to use it for regular watering, as for the concentration you may find what you need in this thread.
Thanks for the advice. I had thought about tying it down but haven’t yet. Will try it probably.
You stay safe and warm this winter also, we’re in the bullseye of big snow storms and cold as hell.
Last year about killed me. We had a foot at least of ice packed snow on the ground for over a month. One of the most brutal ones for me and I’ve lived thru many, many big daddies, esp 76, that i was barely of enough to remember and the early 90s were crazy.
Also, supposed to be as cold as last year this winter.
Wx effects me in a bad way. This storm coming tonight/ later today I’ve felt for almost a week.
I’m a human barometer. The stronger the storm, the farther i can feel them. I’ve been accurate a week out last year, didn’t even watch the wx.
It’s an interesting trait but really sucks ass.
The pattern changing storms like this one are the ones that get me down super bad like I’ve been.. Trying to get moving but not much luck. Already too damn cold and only in the 40s. Brrrr
My issue is just the heat and cold, I overheat and puke in the summer and get jointlock/muscle stiffness and major depression due to the cold of winter. I live 2 hours away from the finger lakes so we get lake effect snow something terrible around here, I heard the blizzard of 77’ was a nightmare, there’s even a monopoly version of it I think lol.
I can’t deal with the real heat either. My body just hates almost everything these days.
Yes, the blizzard of 76/77 was a thumper. I remember seeing pics of 20 to 30 foot drifts and 4 to 8 feet of snow in areas close to us. Don’t live too far from the mountains, it’s either hit or miss here with the snow but the cold is a guarantee. Hate it so bad but nothing i can do about it.
Monopoly version? Wow. That’s crazy but it was a crazy storm looking at pics as i was only 3 years old. I do remember losing power for a few weeks, stuck in the house bundled up in front of the fireplace and cooked with it too.
So amazon carries it search for jacks part a Fertilizer then jacks part b Fertilizer they’re about 35$ each and then you add epsom salts (unscented) for magnesium thats the 1 part of 321 basically, 3 parts a, 2 parts b, 1 part epsom, ![]()
